Even budget ones sound great with the advent of CNC machine manufacturing, as long as you don’t go bottom of the barrel. Classic Vibes are awesome, and I’ve heard a lot of good things about Harley Benton considering the price point.

Most high price guitars today are auction pieces and wall decorations In all my years Ive never known of a working musician to be out there using top of the line, insanely priced guitars. A lot of very famous musicians do, but those guitars are only worth so much because it's theirs... There are a few high profile musicians who pay to replicate their famous rigs so they can bring them around to play, while the real treasure sits somewhere safe Up until my late 20s, I literally used copy brands, even WallyMart specials and never had any issues. My first mid priced, actual brand guitar was bought in the early 90s

I saw NIИ live in a Downward Spiral warm-up tour at a small club in Houston in ‘94 and Scott Ian was moshing in the pit with me. I talked to him after the show and he explained he was in town for Anthrax’s show the next evening. We shook hands and he said he was going backstage to hang with Trent and crew. One of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced.

I had a similar experience with him in the in the ‘90s, when they were on the “Sound of White Noise” tour. I was a kid then and he gave me the total rockstar attitude and refused to sign after asking politely to sign a GuitarWorld Cover he was on with Dan Spitz. He was one of my “Guitar Hero’s” up until that point. I’ve not bought another Anthrax album since. The rest of the guys were cool and signed stuff for me, even Danny Spitz.

Dude's a self important douche. Probably pissed that the only reason people buy his albums is because he's associated with the big 4

As far as riff's I heard a long time ago the first 2 albums & SOD as well Scott was the main music writer then from Among the Living on Charlie became the main riff guy. You can tell a pretty good difference between Spreading & Among style wise. If I met Scott that's the first thing I'd ask. When I met Frankie we talked for a little bit but I forgot to ask him about that. I'm sure he knows.

Wipe Out was the First riff i learned !in 1986...then i put my guitar in the closet.6 months later I bought a guitar magazine that had Skeletons in the Closet in it. That intro was the second riff i learned..and the intro to Sweet Child O Mine.

I get the "rock rap/metal rap" hate. 99.9% of it deserves all the hate it gets. Seperately, if it's good " real" Hip hop or metal , separately I fell on love with both simultaneously. I've made both and listened to both for decades (most good hip hop IMHO was in the 80s and 90s) . But with that said, the Bring the Noise collaberation/cover doesn't bother me that much. I think because Public Enemy is actually in the song and I respect them tremendously. I can't think of another rock/rap song or band that I can stomach to hear. WAIT... The Judgement Night soundtrack is amazing . I forgot. Check it out if you haven't.
