I love how Halford is totally listening and engaged even when the focus is on Sammy. He cares!
@TheTruth-pl3mk5 жыл бұрын
That's because he's one of the intelligent "rock" or metal stars and to be fair, there are quite a lot. They get a bad rep because of morons such as Liam Gallagher, who really is a thick piece of shit. But the older generation of rock stars had brains to match their on-stage bravado and showmanship. You could have a conversation with the likes of Lemmy, Steven Tyler, Phil Lynott, Dave Mustaine and so on. Certain others, you can tell their minds are far away if the spotlight is not on them. They don't care about anyone else.

The ending of the vid was also worth the wait. The spiritual part helped me realize that I can make it through some tough times by focusing on the higher power. Dealing with caregiving for an elderly parent, and a friend of theirs trying to steal my estate, is hard. Great inspiration, & message, at the end of the video, to focus on the higher power. And the funny laughs, and "great times" they shared were fun, on the way to the end. Well worth watching, all the way through.

That dream with Sammy Hagar happened to me too. My Dream went like this: I was standing in my Grandma's Bedroom(she was in the hospital at that time, laying in a coma with no chance of waking up again) and she was laying in her bed, i said to her; "can you hear me? can you see me?" she answered "Yes, of course but I'm tired, I must go to sleep now." so I wished her good night and told her that I loved her, gave her a hug and went outside. When I woke up the next morning, my mom told me that my grandma past away last night... I guess that was her, saying good bye to me, I was so sad but happy at the same time that I had the chance to say goodbye to my grandma :)

Man, it is hard to accept that Sammy is 70 years old. The man doesn't age like the most of us. If you showed a picture of him to someone that doesn't know who he is and asked them to guess his age, I figure that they would say 50 or so. But more important than his 'looks', the man's voice hasn't considerably dropped off as so many other singers have had to deal with. After 50 or so, most singers' voices start to suffer and they have to change the key of their signature tunes. But Sammy's voice has stayed amazing. Sure, he has to change the key on some of his numbers, but not to the point of guys like Paul Stanley, where as it sounds like the act of singing is actually painful. ....I don't need to mention this phenomenon with Rob Halford. hehe. Like Dio, Rob's voice has stayed freaking impeccable. Another dude with this same gift is Bruce Dickenson. Their voices are like fine wine that gets better with time. Rock on fellas.

I can relate to Sammy's story about his father. I was visiting a Buddhist temple in the mountains in Japan and admiring the beauty. I noticed an old monk staring at me. I acknowledged him and he approached me. He said to me, in Japanese, 'Call your mother. Your father is gravely ill'. He was so earnest about it that when I went back to my hotel the first thing I did was to call my mom. That's when I found out my father had a massive heart attack and had passed away a few hours earlier. It shook me to my core. I was visiting a temple I had never been to, nobody knew me or that I spoke Japanese, yet this monk knew to tell me that my father was gravely ill. An experience that I will never forget.

you mean Heavy Metal album.....
@mdf1981225 жыл бұрын
itkojecockot I think this album is more hard rock, the speed and guitar solos aren’t quite metal, my opinion
@itkojecockot5 жыл бұрын
@@mdf198122 that's because the production wasn't as heavy back then, but the style is defintely metal...... and style is what determines the genre...... "Paranoid" also had similar production and it's still metal......
@mdf1981225 жыл бұрын
itkojecockot You said it, it wasn’t a metal production. We’ll have to agree to disagree. I think we can both agree that the album is a classic and one of the best of any genres

Hi, I'm Rob Halford and I always wanted to play the guitar; but the beginning seemed so slow and frustrating...

I love both of these guys. I grew up playing guitar and played every Priest and Maiden song I could learn. Of course was a big Van Halen fan and when Sammy joined i was still young, about 15 when he joined so was a big fan of his. I had room in my heart for both. My favorite thing about Sammy vs Dave is how much the music was different after Sammy joined. It was a different band, not the same band with a guy trying to be Dave. I have to admit, i was surprised when Rob came out of the closet. I'm not sure ho i didn't see it lol but it did catch me off guard somehow but I love him just as much. Not too many people write the lyrics like Rob did.

22:44 Rob should listen to the fans... the movie was called "Johnny Be Goode" with Anthony Michael Hall and RDJ. Lets just say the music was the best part of the movie.

I'm so obsessed with 70's Rock. Just thought I would say that. Even though Point of Entry was done in the early 80's , I love "Heading out to the Highway" and "You Say Yes" from that album 😊
