RIP Louie! That last bit about connecting with people and accepting them for who they are was really special. You don't see a lot of entertainers doing that. It goes to show how special of a person Louie was.

I love they way Louie would come out and be so warm and cordial and then furrow his brow in a stern expression like when impersonating his father...always made me laugh. He was truly one of a kind.

Thank You so much for posting this. My grandpa had Louie's special recorded on VHS. We live 45 mins away from STL. My family watched this many times. Our VHS player eventually ate the tape. We never could find this special anywhere online. Thank you for posting it. This brings back so many memories. Louie is one of the best!

I love Louie! He had a sweetness about him that's missing in others. His observations of life were spot on. Sorry he's gone, he's missed.

I can't believe I had forgotten about Mr Lou. Back in the day I would watch him and laugh my a** off. I sorry that it took his passing for me to get back. He was one of the great everyday experience story tellers!. It's to bad that not enough of us who, don't take the time to see the humour in everyday life, it would make it much easier to tolerate. God bless that man for giving us a way to look at life and laugh!. 👍💕💕💕💕

A legend! One of the most if not the most beautiful comedian that existed, but I haven’t heard them all. All I know is I love his message and I love the joy he shared with so many including my children🙏🏽 Keep making them laugh there in light because that’s where you deserve to be Louie😇❤️ RIP❤️

We saw him the night before the show at Balabans a restaurant here in St Louis. He was walking around the restaurant talking about the food. He had the whole place cracking up. Rip Louie.

I love Louie's observational comedy on people in general (and mom and dad); I also love Dark Louie- as I like to call him in this performance.. Never saw him like this in any other show. More grievance, more swearing.. And yet the sweet, heartfelt bit at the end.. All good. Thanks for the laughs Louie. ❤

my grandfather used to let one out when the minister was visiting him & my gramma, & he'd 'scold' her for it. the guys back in that era were so gross, lol. back in the 50's & 60's. that's what i love about listening to louie, his father was just like the gristled old, hard smoking & drinking, some were fighting, out on the streets yelling. i'd go to my friends houses & their dads would be in their old wore out t shirts & chain smoking with their cans of beer, & their rough voices. their wives would keep the house spotless, the kids had their chores. every time i listen to this it brings me back. my uncle was one of them. weatherbeaten, smoked home made cigarettes, an old italian dude with a warm, but deep, gravely voice. he'd eat so much cheese he'd be stuck on the toilet moaning & making all kinds of sounds, omg. i miss him. he had a tiny store with a candy counter, my aunt would bring me down, it was thick with cigarette smoke, she'd be smoking the same handmade cigs, & she'd let me pick out a little bagful of candy. i never thought i'd be able to see a comedian help me crack up about those years. rip louie. if you're looking down at us, know how much you've given us.
