i feel like the most important thing to understand about louis is that he is a lot of things at once many things can be true for him, is he a “good vampire” no. but he sometimes needs to believe he is, louis is in love with humanity and others are in love with his so it’s not as easy for him to commit to being a vampire but he does kill humans

i think both actresses for Claudia worked for their respective seasons. Season 1 Claudia brought us the camp and babydoll daughter vibes, season 2 claudia has grown and is going to be serving you drama and emotion

@BillyKearneyReacts as jacob anderson put it, louis is probably the most vampire of them all. and i quote, "he has the highest drive and jonesing for blood, i think he really wants blood, i think he hates human beings. everything he says he is, i think he is the opposite." and you get to see more and more of it as time goes on. and you have to remember, louis wasn't exactly a great person even before becoming a vampire. it doesn't mean we can't love him, i personally think it just makes him a lot more interesting! none of them are good people!

​@@BillyKearneyReacts Coming at it from things like Buffy and Twilight, that was an inevitable learning curve, I think. Don't worry about it. Lol He was at very least putting in a pretense of trying, sort of , but he was never really succeeding at it particularly well. The books, however, were Gothic _Horror_ genre stories and not actually Romances despite also featuring some strong romantic story threads throughout them too....and knowing that, I think, really brings it into slightly better perspective.🙂

Anne Rice's approach in the books was pretty much always to imagine what if it was all real. 🙂💖 I love that the tv series maintains that vibe so well~ ^-^

10:51 Look up Le Theatre du Grand-Guignol. It was a real theater, and was so famous it's still referenced in niche pop culture today! I believe it's what the Theatre du Vampires is based on.

Your enthusiasm for this truly miraculous show is very joyful to watch 😊 also I agree with your hot take about our new Claudia (and I think a lot of other people do too but don’t say it). The best way I’ve come to compare their performances without putting down Bailey’s is to say that her performance was more campy, which felt in the tone for the lower stakes of last season, whereas Delainey’s Claudia feels way more grounded, which is really necessary for all the emotional beats to hit as hard as they need to this season.

the last show wasn't made by lestat, but it's inspired by what he believes, it's about not being ashamed of who they are. and was written by Armand, and is related to how he views death and the rest he'll never have as a vampire

@@BillyKearneyReactsI’ll give you a little hint before watching… but this won’t spoil anything. This is more I guess to prepare you if anything. Ep. 4 ending will feel like a slap in the face. Ep. 5 will have your jaw hitting the floor (or maybe wincing. Either action is appropriate really). Ep. 6 ending will feel like a gut punch. I’m getting really angry with this show, like in the best ways, if that makes any sense at all. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya 😘

5:58 yeah, I do like this actress slightly better... She had like two weeks of prep time before filming started and so she's just doing like a generic southern accent and isn't doing a New Orleans accent at ALL... But I prefer her acting style a little bit more. I just really wish she had more time to prep and it wasn't so last minute and so she could have nailed down a proper New Orleans accent... I didn't really like the previous Claudia's accent work... Accent work is difficult... but hers was definitely the weakest compared to Louis & Lestats' accent work.
