Shoutout to senor ck and patreeky for sharing gems, Opie and Anthony for getting it on radio, and to channels like these for keeping them alive

Here is Opie's entire radio technique: wait for something funny or interesting to be said, interupt it by going to a caller, start talking over the caller right away, then gets annoyed at the caller talking.

Who gives a shit 😂 he’s the reason there’s a show to begin with. He was a hack for a long time but so was ant on alot of levels. They both sucked when girls came in, opie would hate them because of his mom issues and hating strippers then Anthony would do his weird baby voice trying to hit on every woman throwing out every thing he preaches when it’s only him and the guys in radio 😂 the only reason this show is good is because of the comedian guest. Who would listen to this shit without the Louie/Patrice/Burr/Vos/Quinn etc on? It’s garbage when it’s just the three host

what kills me (and i know why they do it) is when Callers call up and say exactly what your wrote, Opie says "sir you dont know how a radio program works.." then instead of letting Opie drown on his own...Ant is quickly spoil the fun and give Opie a bone, after bone after bone. Jim shouts the caller down, thinking it'll buy good guy points with Opie, but it never does. Listen to their 12.05.2015 epic 1 hr fight it sums all 23 years of opie up in case you dont hear it at one point opie says in his _deep argument_ voice "nah....nah...nope. I am never telling you. Nope...pahh. ..uh uhhhh..." i cant listen to hit without smashing a hole thru my wall (like the Grape fight of March 2009)

That manifesto audio always reminds me of a kid that I knew in 10th grade. We started off cool because he was quiet and a loner of sorts, although we had a few mutual friends. But we started trading videos games and became friends. I learned to become very weary of him because although we were normal and had normal conversations and cracked jokes, he turned really psycho really fast. It started when he confided to me that he had a crush on this girl. And truthfully, she was out of his league, by a long shot. But I still tried to be supportive and one day at my locker, I quietly whispered to him, "I dunno man, you're never really going to know anything unless you try to talk to her. You ever plan on doing that?" and he reacted as if I yelled it in the entire hallway. The chick was like 50 ft away all the way down the hall. He was saying things like "shut the f up, she's gonna hear you" all frantically. I knew then something was off so I just kinda of stopped associating with him. Little by little, he started saying shit like "you're all going to pay for crucifying me like Jesus. But just like Jesus, I'll rise from the ashes". He started saying shit like me and our other mutual friends were "conspiring" against him. And he even went as far as to say that we were "minions" of the girl and that it was all to humiliate him. After that, I went to a new school for unrelated reasons, but I stopped befriending people like him and having that "you never know what people are going through" mentality when befriending people. It's true: you DON'T know what people are going through. But it's also not an invitation to find out.

That “Aircraft mechanic” that called in was full of shit. 1. Theres 2 different fuel monitoring systems, you can pull the breaker and use one if there’s an issue. Normally when this is done a drip test is required, this is how the fuel load is calculated and confirmed. There is a drip stick at the top of the tanks which is lowered from the bottom until fuel drips out.

I'm not sure what you were referencing, but it's funny how for some reason reactionaries always think the world is ending because something happened on the news that implied that. I haven't followed current events for a while now and it's amazing how little it actually mattered.
@LIQUIDSNAKEz283 жыл бұрын
@@Robb1977 *"I'm not sure what you were referencing"* *"I haven't followed current events for a while"* *"it's amazing how little it actually mattered"* These are statements that say much more about *YOU* and *YOUR* relationship to the problems in the country and in the world than they do about the actual problems themselves. Most of the citizens during the fall of the Roman Empire where completely oblivious to what was happening around them because they were either too distracted by the bread and circus or just too self-involved, *BUT* just because they were too distracted and too self-involved didn't change the *REALITY* that Rome *WAS* in fact falling.
@Robb19773 жыл бұрын
@@LIQUIDSNAKEz28 everyone predicts the end of their nation. The romans had been doing it since at least 98 AD with the Agricola. Americans have always claimed they were falling. People act like the 50s were an age of American dominance and forget "misegnation will ruin our nation" "the commie menace is ruining our nation" 70 years later people say the same shit. Thats almost a typical human lifetime. Rome as an empire went ~450 years before falling, and thats not including the hundreds in the republic and kingdom era. All with people complaining that the current age was the weakest and things were failing. People act like people in the past were unified, that they didn't fight like we do today, its all bullshit. Enough nostalgia and being obsessed with the news. You think its reality to "concern yourself" with bullshit made up to sell ad-time? Even if its not made up they act like ever small thing is unprecedented. The news isn't there to keep you informed or educated, it wouldn't be engaging that way. They need to terrify you, make you feel like you're missing out if you tune away. But please, PLEASE! Regale me the details of the apocalypse that occurred 9+ months ago that I must be the only one not to take note of complete and total destruction. Did aliens invade? Have taxes gone down? Did the rapture occur? I wonder how I could have missed it while maintaining a job and below-average but not reclusive social life. But I wonder, do you really not get sick of the constant anger they try to illicit in you? The constant fear? Don't you think there's more to life than 24/7 political discourse and rants about (insert contemporary politicized issue here) and complaini why the opposite side is lunatics trying to force control on your life and you just want to live "peacefully"? Don't you realize knowing "were all doomed!" Doesn't prevent the inevitable, it won't even delay it. Not to mention its not true. Instead you panic constantly assuming were all dead. The fictional plebs you mention, ignorant that Rome was falling? Isnt that the desirable life? To live content and for generations go undisturbed until one day the floor falls through? I ask you, if millions of people do as you do (evidenced by the constant outrage on Twitter from everyone, starting at news casters down to alabama Walmart hicks and california corner store junkies) and these "problems" are never resolved, why live your life with anxiety and hatred? You dont have to float through life blissfully ignorant of all issues, but most of them are bullshit and you should know better than to die on every hill the news offers you, until they give you a new one. This is not how people live, or have ever lived. Again, because you brought it up I go to Rome. What actual Roman wasnt aware of the temples of serapis being torn down, of their gods and temples being profaned. Of the Christians killing their preiests, destroying their statues and monuments? You bought some weird communist "Rome was this brilliantly strong city and then modern day profligate who watch super hero movies got in" snake oil. They fell, not because of the ignorance of their plebians but the fact "informed" citizens got terrified of hyped up news and jumped ship... especially the wealthier ones who paid for the soldiers. The decline of Rome is literally measured by the switch from public works funding to palace funding in foreign lands. And now you'll go and find examples of billionaires who have business interests in china to justify your fear... when at their height roman elite had business interests in parthea and by extent china. My point is its not a personal thing to out-grow unjust fear. Its a part of life as you transition from selective education to something more well rounded. But you have to break the addiction to anger and fear before you move on.
