God. The bittersweetness of the ending where he finally gets to find himself and who he is outside of everyone he's built his life around, but it's because all of those people no longer exist, or don't exist in the same way he remembers them. Ily louis de pointe du lac

If your "my blood" video is The Claudia Video of All Time, this one is the Louis Video of All Time just,,, aaah all your videos grab me by the throat and put an aching deep in my chest. I'm chomping at the bit for season 3 just so you can make a video that cuts right to Lestat's core as well. In some ways this song and the idea of being in the same place, always, relates to a lot of the vampires in the way that none of them have really moved past their traumas, just keep adding to them, and how they keep repeating the same patterns over and over again (looking at you in particular Armand and Lestat, I don't know how you could possibly get therapy but I'm begging you to get some) but it just embodies Louis in every way possible. I think a lot about him building a sanctuary with the stones he was buried in on the worst day of his life, how he carries around those pebbles in his ankles. I love that you end with him leaning against the cab and finally breathing, and his moment with Daniel. "No, I want this. To remember." His reunion with Lestat is so powerful and moving, and so much of it is about facing their shared grief, but that moment in the cab is probably my favorite part of the whole episode. The entire two seasons have been Louis struggling to face his past and face himself, to finally wrench himself out of the place he's been standing in for so long and just,, that moment where he lets out a breath really feels like it's the first time, maybe in his entire life, where he's finally at peace with himself. I love him so much!! Thank you for this

@@ThatCrazyBookWyrm what you say about the scene of him in the cab is so beautiful, and it's so heartbreaking to think about it, he's been alive for over a century and has bottled up so much grief and sadness for such a long time and that's one of the few instances in 15 episodes where he's at peace :(

I also want to say that the very beginning, Louis saying "can you hear her?" paired with the bird sounds from the track is amazing beautiful perfect painful top tier editing. I'm so obsessed!!!!!! I've been listening to this song on repeat and thinking about your vid

@@DreamerWithADream thank you so much for your comments 🥺💛 I have a playlist of songs that remind me of Louis and I've loved this song since it came out, after watching season one I immediately connected the song to Louis but I was waiting for season two to have more material to make a video and after watching that scene I couldn't believe how perfect it was to match that intro and that dialogue 🥺 I'm happy you liked it ❤
