He gave one of the best tips ever for generating club head speed. Don't feel like you're chopping wood but that you're throwing the club underhanded as far and high as you can towards the target. Effortless power, the ball just get's in the way. It's how he can carry a driver almost 300 yards and carry a 7 iron 180 with his seemingly effortless swing.

💯 spot on, if you load your right arm and bicep into a natural throwing position it makes the swing a simple underhand throw from there.

It has to do with the coil separation at the top of the backswing like Couples - his hip starts to torque towards the target while the shoulder, hands and club stay quite at the END of the backswing. This whipping creates lag and power by a body-driven machine.

When I put a marker on his head, I see no lateral movement. He gets back where he started because he really hasn't moved away from where he started insuring solid repeatable contact. I just love watching him play. Wonderful technique.

The best golf swing in men’s golf today! He has fantastic rhythm, fluidity, always perfectly on plane, beautiful balance and solid ball striking ability, all done with effortless power. No other male professional on the planet can compare. On the ladies side, I think South Korea’s Hyo Joo Kim compares favourably to Louis’s swing.

Fundamentally a fantastic swing. He takes the club away very well, at no point does the Clubhead rotate around him, he picks it up quite steeply. From there he rotates and releases very well.....and to put pay to the million videos on KZbin....he does NOT shallow the club, because you don't need to shallow the club to swing well
