You are lucky that your thrift store has such great prices. Be all of my local thrift stores price everything as if you are shopping at Neiman Marcus. Even if the *preluxz* are not real name brand. That's one reason why I don't go thrifting anymore. Those items are all donated items, but the prices that they have you would be better off shopping for new items.

Great video! The Alma is a classic for a reason. No way is it outdated. The alma is my favorite lv bag. I own 4. 1 alma epi pm in the shade indigo, 2 Alma bb one in the classic monogram and another in the epi denim and I also have the Alma mini (it’s discontinued now) in pink ballerine. I love your baby blue Alma. Super cute and would be perfect for summer with pretty dresses. 👗 The only thing I’m not a fan of about the Alma bb is the straps. It’s super long on me but I’ve heard that they are updating some of their classic bags and the alma bb will now come with adjustable straps.

Alma’s have such a special place in my heart; it was one of the only (real) LV bags my mom had growing up…so they make me think of her😊. Although I’m not the biggest Alma fan, your Alma with the LV sign always catches my eyes in your videos, she’s so gorgeous! Love your videos, Melissa!

Thanks for comparing, Melissa. Straps can definitely be too wide & slide off! I have a beautiful bag with that issue so I'm removing & replacing the strap. That saturated pink top looks great on you.❣️🌻

Thank you so much. Straps never seem to be just right 🤣. I think my most comfortable strap would have to be my Bottega Padded Cassette. It’s not too thin or thick and it’s a soft leather.

Melissa, I love the blue Alma it looks great on you. I once purchased the Alma bb but returned as I found it to be too small for me and the strap was too short. Instead I purchased the Alma PM in the DE I carry it top handle.

Great review of both bags. The leather straps are so much better for crossbody than the webbed strap. I think Alma’s are up with Speedys as being the ultimate LV bags. ❤❤❤

Thanks for answering my question about fitting the mini pochette vertically. Like you , I also wear the Alma bb open since it’s quicker to get in it and I also love the way it looks open. Really, the only time I would close it is when I use it for the airport when going through security. Great video! ❤❤❤

The Alma has probably been ‘dated’ for 40 years 😂... but we don’t care. I have the navy Epi leather because it’s so durable and versatile but the strap definitely could use some work, very thin and stiff. I put both my zippers towards the front by the curve and just slide one to open when wearing it and that works for me. Love the colours it’s been released in but I’m a big no on that particular guitar strap because I find it too loud, too wide, too short and it doesn’t suit the Alma at all. That blue nuage colour you have is beautiful and I love the Alma has silver hardware.
