I will forever be in love with LV. Nowadays, coach and Tory Burch bags are upwards of $1000 for the newer collections so I see why LV “starter“ bags are 2000 at this point.

I think I will always love LV personally, I own many pieces and I’m part of the ones that actually buy their leather bags. Of course I have Neverfull, Speedy , Alma and Keepal in canvas. But I also own 2 Speedy in leather and 2 Capucines. The Capucines are so well done and they can absolutely compare in term of quality to my Hermès bags. Let’s be honest here, we are luxury lovers and we love the name of the brand. Buying a key pouch from a no name brand does nothing for me, I would just not buy it at all. I’m just honest here! LV has a place in my collection and I’m always looking at what they do. Do they constantly have new collections? Yes absolutely! But I’m not really into that exclusivity mindset anymore, it just needs to fit in my collection and makes sense for my lifestyle. If I love something, I go for it! Like this summer I bought a LV bag in denim and I swear, I would have got rid to all my Hermès bags, since I just wanted to wear my LV.😂 I know now that I need to keep my bags because I go in circles. 🥴Right now I cannot care less about Hermès and look more into Chanel and LV, and it will probably change again at some point. So I sit on what I have! Plus nothing beats LV for traveling! ❤

Thanks 🙏 for your viewpoint and for me the LV canvas serves a great purpose. I have sore back problems so the canvas is nice and light. I am finding myself drawn to different LV bags like the Sky denim mini bumbag. Don’t get me wrong i like variety and i can’t seem to rotate out of my LV high rise or my new side trunk. I find LV is also changing. For example this Christmas is the first time LV animations is tied in with the Christmas and winter theme. Your gift from Autumn 🍂 is lovely but i prefer the other one in your hand ✋.

I agree with you on the constant new collections and product releases. It takes away from the exclusivity of the brand. The irony is, I think most people love their classic canvas pieces. And I’m with you….i love my speedy b25 forever and always! 👜🤎

I have two Alma BBs. One in Empriente and another in Damier Ebene. I think I'm good with just those two from the brand for now. I ended up getting a preloved mini Pochette accessoires preloved. I just couldn't justify purchasing new.

I dont like it at all 😅 When its reversed the way that the bag basically looks unfinished 🤦🏼‍♀️ They left the drings empty from where the thing straps hang & the tabs where the shoulder strap comes from are just there all alone. I honestly dont like it one bit 🙁 That is a great collection you have. I think those are some very classic pieces to hold for many years 😍

Girl I totally get it. I love my LV but I’m also starting to feel like it’s soooo expensive for what it is and I almost don’t even want to carry it because it’s so expensive and so flashy. I almost have guilt over it. Most of my pieces are pre loved. But still; Deciding what to do. 😢 My fave pieces are the mini pochette, PM in leather and the speedy b 25. I love those. But I also love my coach bags! Great video topic.

Hi! MAY! My first luxury items are LV. Some of LV pcs.are sold it. I kept Alma bb Eben, vintage pochettes,Vintage neverful version, pochette accessories, speedy monogram 35, Pouches, sneakers, clay pouch a, card holder and sandal name it. I have them for 11 yrs. I love them all. RIGHT NOW, I don’t think I can buy now to much money. Crazy prices. I have some pcs Dress up of purse 👛 too. Thank you for sharing ❤

I think LV has to keep their prices up because lessor houses (YSL,Gucci, etc.) prices are getting into parity. I mean if LV, Hermes and Chanel cost the same as Coach then people will realize Chanel is boring and Hermes is not very attractive. It’s the prices that make them “special”. IMHO.

Other KZbinrs like Amelia, Deb, Lula and Meredith are still HUGE fans of LV. No complain about quality issues at all. I have noticed that KZbinrs on their "Hermès journey" tend to bash LV or other brands... 🤔 I also think that: 1) Every single luxury brand increased the retail prices significantly in the recent past. Hermès also. BTW it hurt a lot more at Hermès level... 2) No Kelly or Birkin bag is worth the price you have to pay for. Especially when you include the extra spending... Fun fact tho: when it's rainy outside or it's already raining, most of us grab an old canvas piece from LV because it's too scary to use a Hermès bag that day. 😁. LV canvas pieces last for ever, are easy to use, to clean, ... and don't shy from rain. 👍 3) The LV dupes from Mélodie Cécile are nice but we can find sooo many other non-luxury brands (Longchamp for example) with similar products. But then we don't speak about "luxury" anymore... Right? Have a nice Sunday afternoon!

These are the LV 101 Collection. I Love my LV pieces but I'm not enthusiastic about the Monogram as before, I rather special pieces like the ones I got for the Nautical collection, my speedy from the Flight Mode, and so. As we spoke the other day, I totally understand small brands get inspired by luxury brands and I'm ok with that, the only thing I don't like is when they "DUPED" a piece. But getting inspired is something that all brands do in a certain way.

To each their own. People are dropping thousands on hand bags. It’s the most subjective conversation out there when discussing luxury and if it’s “worth it”. Once you get on the Hermes band wagon, it’s over. You’re on a different level so to speak. I will never buy a piece from Hermes or Chanel. I love LV and will continue to buy them. The canvas pieces serve a purpose for me and my day today activities. I’ve purchased 3 neverfulls in the last 9 months. 😂

I have been able to add Hermes pieces but that hasnt deterred me from adding pieces from other brands, Just like Louis Vuitton, Hermes has pieces which I dont love and will never get 🤷🏼‍♀️ I love LV Canvas, I personally think those are some of the brands best pieces. Hi May. I agree with pretty much everything you said. We all go through style changes which makes our interests change. As far as smaller brands making bags that look like a luxury style bags,I think all companies do this. Every brand has a tote, a camera style bag, a bowling style bag etc. If they make it their own, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

I love Louis Vuitton and in the real world many people still want something from this historic brand over the rest. People love Louis Vuitton bags to the point they are the best to have if you want to resale. YSL, MCM, Prada, Celine, Chloe and Gucci are many people first luxury, so LV can't can't be as cheap as these brands and maintain their status. LV largest competitor is Chanel, Dior and Fendi; however; because of all the scandals, quality issues, price increases and dupes, have discouraged some people but to be honest getting a Dress Up Your purse dupe isn't the same satisfaction as going to store and getting that LV piece you have been dreaming about for years.

Prices has definitely went up compared 10 years ago and i think that was expected. But to me its the new releases (prices) are just bananas and seems not quite fitting with the quality you get and also the experience when going to the store is no longer that special as they have become like what you said fast fashion. I have definitely step down in buying LV as i have 10 bags from them already but i still do find myself loving the canvas ones as they are quite practical to use especially the Speedy’s. LV is that brand that really holds a special place in my hearts as it was my first introduction to the Luxury bags world!

hmm, interesting. You've fallen into the predictable Hermes mindset, once you get an Hermes bag you turn your nose up at LV. LV hasn't changed you have and its really sad to downplay a Heritage brand because you're chasing a Birkin. Very sad and you're becoming unrelatable.
