$745 is crazy. I have two and I bought them right when prices started going crazy. I bought a black empriente bicolor leather two years ago from the boutique for the current price of the canvas version. And I managed to get a giftable 2019 Christmas animation at Fashionphile for $600 around the same time. It was on the eve of one of their big price increases. I had also gotten a 2015 Pochette accessoires at the same time. I think I’m done with Louis Vuitton SLGs from the boutique. I am enjoying my newest pieces, a near vintage coin purse and card holder. The latter is very similar to your business card holder. And a couple of months ago I splurged on a lambskin pouch from Chanel in boutique. It’s holding up surprisingly well considering that I’m not babying it and throwing it in my big bags with a lot of other things. For the price I would not recommend. I just wanted the experience of buying in the boutique just once and I can’t afford their classic flaps. Even though I wasn’t interested in a bag I had a really great experience. The DUYP items are really nice. I’ve been buying from them for a few years.

I'm so bummed I didn't get in on LV earlier! For some reason, I always thought the items were more expensive than they were at the old prices. I've bought plenty of $200 bags, and I could have purchased one nicer bag in lieu of a few cheaper ones. Agree that buying new from the boutique is overrated. There are tons of Like New items on the preloved market at a great savings! If you don't mind me asking, what does Chanel charge directly for small items like card holders, cosmetic pouches, and the mini o cases? My next video is reviewing DUYP designer dupes!

I hear ya! I spent serious Chanel money (before all of their price increases) on bags that I no longer have. A classic flat card holder generally goes for $500. A flap card holder around $675. A mini pouch also $675. This may or may not be the same as the O case. I’ve never seen it on the website named as such but I keep hearing it on KZbin and on reseller websites. A zippered coin purse is around $675-$725. I’m not sure about cosmetic cases/pouches. They may be in the same price range as the other SLGs I’ve mentioned unless you want a vanity case (not sure about those either). I purchased the small classic pouch in so black (everything is black). That was $875 pretax. It’s kind of like a wallet - on the inside it has card holder slots on one side and a slip pocket on the other. A similar pouch in the Chanel 19 style (big quilting and very large CC logo that looks like a chain) I think is $75-100 more. I was going to get the 19 pouch but it was in yellow and I really wanted something in black. My SA happened to find a black pouch that wasn’t on display. I would have gotten the yellow because I was desperate. I live in a relatively large city (San Diego) but we don’t have a lot of luxury boutiques and what we do have are small. Actually we have 2 very small Chanel boutiques in department stores (Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus) in the same mall right across from each other. Neither boutique had anything that I wanted to buy since the pandemic started. Just six months ago I asked an SA in the Neiman Marcus boutique if they had any pouches. He pulled out something that looked like a wallet but not a WOC. I did a casual stroll by Nordstrom two months ago and saw pouches on display inside. I had never seen any on display before. So I walk in and ask the SA to look at pouches and I told her I’ve never seen pouches on display. She told me that Chanel was just getting back into full production and this was their first in long time. And they haven’t had a lot of SLGs to sell. That said I do know of a couple of KZbinrs that live in my area, shop these same boutiques and have been able to get these SLGs. But they have relationships with SAs and a good enough purchase history that they can request items. Me, I’m at the mercy of what they have in stock. So I felt very lucky that day. The other two pouches that were on display were a small pouch in an orangey pink that I didn’t want and a large black pouch. The large pouch was about $1500.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share all of this!! We don't have a standalone Chanel boutique near me, I think just a boutique within Neiman Marcus in Tampa at International Plaza.
