Louis got the kindness that every kind person deserves. I was worried he was going to be very mistreated once he was sent to the hospital. He's a wonderful artist!

I cannot tell you how cathartic it was to see someone humanize a person with mental illness so sincerely…shit made me cry

Wonderful video, I'm autistic and louis wain has been my special interest since my very early teens. Im amazed bythe amount of research done into this video and im so happy that the joy that louis has been spreading is still being shared in modern times :) Im also pleasantly surprised how little of the video was dedicated to his schizophrenia, as that seems to be sometimes the only thing people focus on...

I am happy because everyone loves me is such a simple yet powerful drawing, even before knowing the context behind her made me feel happy and resonated with me, it felt genuine.

God, I’ve always wanted to give drawing a cat in his style a try, it’s just so… cozy if a bit unsettling, like old illustrations of children’s picture books that in spite of not really remembering how dark those books were, have a sense of near spectral nostalgic wonder. Amazing video.

I’m shocked by how few views this has. Outstanding video, and well shared. I’m glad you focused on the man more than his illness.

Anytime I’m feeling down on my luck, I always like to remember people’s lives in history. Life was so difficult for most people in the past, but they still choose to keep going and enjoy the little things. If our ancestors could be happy with the little they had, then we should be immensely grateful for the lives and luxuries we have.

I started crying on the bus because I relate to him so hard and the ending made me so happy. Sometimes what keeps me going is the feeling that there will always be people that are there for you and love you.

Louis Wain is one of my favorite artists. I even participated in an upcycle challenge at our local fashion history museum a couple years ago, and made a bead embroidered purse of my friend's recently departed cat in a Louis Wain style. The purse ended up being featured in a book the museum published, and is in their permanent collection. I'm not an expert, so I know it's just speculation on my part. To me, it felt like he may have been autistic, and had a psychotic break due to extreme pressures having to look after his family, adulting, etc. Regardless, being the highly creative and sensitive person that he was would def contribute to the likelihood he'd fall ill at some point. Life can be hard on those who are different, and incredible gifts come with their curses.. I'm one to know.. I relate alot to Louis Wain, for better or worse

Love to hear a story about someone miserable who turned out to be happy. Interesting contrast between this old victorian man's story, and that of the many modern day internet horror cows.
@SamsSideshowСағат бұрын
Heheh, that’s certainly an interesting comparison! When you aren’t filming yourself constantly, people tend to see less of your bad sides. Heck, Chris could even have been sympathetic, if he could shut up and turn the camera off
