This is one of my favourite movies and it made me realise love is not always enough, and I had a very hard time accepting that and making peace with it. And now I'm crying because I can't seem to stop my tears every time I watch him say goodbye, it just makes me so sad.

@@CynthiaVidad I love the end but for a different reason. Will died knowing he found love again, Lou did that for him. When all he wanted to do is wait it out for 6 months, she gave him the reason to open up his heart and he died with that feeling inside of him. It reminded me of the movie with Barbra Streisand, The Mirror Has Two Faces. In her classroom she talked about the feeling of finding love. It could be for a day, a week, a month or a year. But no matter what the time span is, it feels "fucking good" that's what Lou gave to Will and Will gave to Lou. That's why she had to go back to him in the end. It felt "Fucking Good"

The love story is sweet but I hate the ending really what depressing messages this'll have to handicapped people? It's irresponsible to say the least. I'm from Israel and this last year we had so many beautiful young people became handicap, young man and women lost legs, arms and more but courage and high spirits they thought us all more than anyone else can. One injured soldier said that when he came out of the battle alive he came back with a big engine, and that big engine can pull you down if you don't know how to start it... but when you turn it on it will get you higher than you ever expected. ❤stay strong people, every day in life is worth it.

I know how Lou felt, my husband had his left leg amputatedhis right foot also amputated and he was on Kidney Dialysis. No matter how much I did for him he wanted to die,he did by taking too much medication, so I can sympathize with Lou.I Loved the Movie

Grandchildren's are our last friends we love them want them to stay with us and love us . Your partner really love's you he cares about your health. There are some works which are really hard for both of you to do . Even if there is a nanny your love will stay same 😅 means she can manage their food and clothing stuff on the other hand you guys can play with them visit parks and do alots of things Love is the only thing which increases by sharing ❤️ . The thing is that you have to confess grandpa that even if you guys get a nanny you will spend time with your grandchildren read stories for them play with them and all those things 😅 I hope you get my point

I know this is a movie and had to have a tear moment but the suicide was unnecessary, he could have refused any treatment during the respiratory event and let the condition take its course. I do not support assisted exit in his case, though I can understand people who have ALS ( Lou Goerigs) who choose to exit like my BIL.

I do worry since this is being offered, especially in Canada, to even healthy young adults who are depressed and struggling financially. And other problems that could be resolved without ending their lives. I feel this is truly another part of depopulation.

Spoiler. Louisa thought she could change Will's mind. She was hurt and angry telling him she wish she had never met him. She wasn't going to go to Switzerland but her dad talked her into it. They said their goodbyes at the cottage in Switzerland and then his parents came in to be with him, when they administered the drugs. Fast forward, Louisa is in Paris reading a letter that Will had left for her.

Movie Me before you:i do not agry with this level of euthanasia. It is more like the suicide and i believe he is going to hell. I believed that only in fairytales you can go to hell BUT I AM NOT THINKING LIKE THAT ANYMORE
