You could get a box spring under the mattress to raise it about 10 inches without needing bed raisers. Then you could just put another fitted sheet over the box spring. I’m afraid a headboard won’t work with that bed style because they usually need quite a bit of space to be attached.

You should pop to Central park on a Tuesday evening. I did a few hours after landing, and got invited to join in a softball game. Such fun exercise and a great way to meet more locals. Apartment is looking great.

You need a 5x6 rug but don’t buy that rug from rugs USA poor quality. You need a box spring under the mattress and the bed is too low no headboard will fit. Wayfair and AllModern is parent companies. The TV will be too high above the mirror. You can put the TV on that side wall with a swivel tv stand.

I have a platform for my bed and I would def recommend. I like the option of storing things like suitcases and my steamer underneath it.

I would think a box spring would solve the bed height issues. Just as long as it’s the size of the mattress, it could work? Even if it hung over the frame a bit, maybe that wouldn’t be terrible because it would block that corner that’s waiting to catch your ankles, ha! 😂

Masking tape the outline of the rug measurements on the floor. Easy to envision if it will be to small/large. Also works for pictures/mirrors

If you can find a carpenter, you could cut three planks to slot under the bed base top middle and foot of base if you have space. It would raise the base.

Definitely move the mirror away from that wall and put the TV there instead; the mirror facing the kitchen will elongate the room even more, don't you think💁🏽have you thought of getting an island to use as a work surface?? I did suggest placing a desk where the mirror is now, if you didn't want a TV, but it seems you do now?,💁🏽💁🏽should get a a sideboard for under the telly, use it as storage 💁🏽💁🏽

I would leave the mirror putting the TV there looks too crowded with fridge and such. Put it in between the windows like you said and buy a swiveling tv mount so you can pull it out, turn it, push back or watever direction you want that way you can watch it from the couch or even the kitchen

get a swivel tv mount, that you can swing out so the tv isn't stuck on the wall when you mount it!! Otherwise I would say move the mirror even though you don't want to

I would buy the legs fro the bed and then buy a bigger bedskirt so that it can go over the frame, just get a bedskirt that will touch the floor
