as soon as you said "butterfly farm" i was like oh, i bet i know what the disaster in the title is. i swear it's like a rite of passage for every young kid to be terrified at a butterfly house that their parents mistakenly thought they'd be enchanted by. as gorgeous as the little creatures are, it's still unnerving to have them flying at your face! i'm glad the girls had a nice time anyway, though. also, i suspect that the additional exhibits were designed to calm kids down who got scared by the butterflies, lol.

I love mini adventures! I went to Stratford a few years ago on a bus tour (how very touristy of me😉) and went to Holy Trinity church (where Shakespeare is buried) and when I went in I actually cried because of how beautiful it was. Also, walking in the graveyard that overlooks the river with a slight fog/mist in the air- it was the most peaceful I've ever felt.

I love mini adventures but I did have to skip through the snakes and whatever else might have been inside those buildings. I can’t even do butterflies in person anymore. I used to love them until I realized without their beautiful wings they are like most insects with creepy crawly legs and antennas! 😱😬🥴 Sorry... no insects, reptiles or arachnids for me! But the rest of your adventure was delightful... interesting sights, architecture, shopping, dining, etc. is definitely more my speed! Loved that one of Darcy’s favorite songs is from the West End and more specifically, Carrie Hope Fletcher! I think it’s brilliant you are exposing your children to the arts! I love mini adventures, Stratford is one of the most beautiful places full of such lovely wonders and history. We often go around summer time and christmas when the markets are on. What a beautiful family day out - as much as the butterflies were not overly appreciated I'm sure in years to come Pearl and Darcy will remember their day with the butterflies. I remember going with my grandparents when I was young and I was exactly the same and now I'm a great deal older it's such a fond memory of how we are freaked out and brings so much laughter. Can't wait for more day out vlogs!

I love mini-adventures! I went on one myself today here in Massachusetts; I drove about 30 minutes toward the coast in search of birds to photograph; found some swans and watched an amazing sunset! I love mini adventures! If Darcy is interested in lots of different theatre things you could take her on a tour of the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre in Stratford. They (certainly used to) do behind the scenes tours and I went on one when I was Darcy’s age and thought it was incredible! Loved the casual vlog and I’d be freaked out by the butterflies too 😂

Louise, I had this exact experience as a child!! my mom took my brother and me to a local butterfly house and we were all so excited, but once we got there we HATED IT! I was so afraid to have them land on me for some reason hahaha just know you're not the only one who's done that
