I'm a 41-year-old man, I've worked construction since I was 15, and I was an alcoholic most of my adult life. A few years ago I met a woman we married ,we had a son, I cleaned up my Act. But going to work and back home to sit on the couch and watch TV got boring and I became a little frustrated. A couple months ago I found resin tutorial which became incredibly interesting to me. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I I feel like I've caught a second wind in life, I love it , thank you for everything you do it's absolutely helpful and fantastic Sincerely, Mr bear hands. P.s. I love your accent.

Wow that is a story with a happy ending! I am so glad you found something to inspire you. Resin saved me from a bad time too so I know where you are coming from. I dislike my accent but people on here seem to like it so that’s great!

Congrats! I don't want to hijack your comment but maybe share some similar vibes, I'm a former pain pill addict and resin art has totally taken over my mind and fuelled my recovery. I no longer get the 'cravings' because all my cravings are for mica powders and silicone molds instead 😅 It's a very therapeutic hobby which I don't think a lot of people appreciate and I'm so glad there are so many great people on youtube sharing their knowledge

You're not alone. I'm in a similar situation. Art is therapy. Although, still addicting but in a positive way.

I tried this technique using Reynolds non-stick aluminum foil and just to warn you or anybody else trying this method it will not work you cannot use the nonstick aluminum foil. Instead of spreading it just beads up and repels on the foil. I will happily try again. going out tomorrow to buy some regular aluminum foil but yours came out absolutely beautiful!

Thank you for the heads up! That’s the one I have at home and was planning on using.

After I drip my alcohol ink on my foil I light it on fire, now do this outside! (I did mine on a cookie sheet) at my kitchen table but that’s me… it gives your foil a whole different effect! Just beautiful ❤
@cjcarver62908 ай бұрын
You light it on fire and leave it for how long? Do you let it burn itself out or do you blow it out?
@HippyMonkey6 ай бұрын
I do the same thing and I love it !!
@HippyMonkey6 ай бұрын
When you set it on fire it truly does give it something different not to minton that it’s incredibly fun to do ,?I have been using fire on all of my creations that I use alcohol ink on or any wood work I do , if you have not tried that you should , just be careful and make sure you are using all safety measures . And enjoy and have fun creating .

A fun variation is to put the fresh (uncrinkled) foil pieces (individually or stacked) onto a thick soft/pliable surface & then texture with stamps or other patterning items - before or after applying inks (different effects depending on inking order).
