Kiryu's Story: What it is to be a dad. His entire arc is about learning to be a father, up to and including Y6 where he learns to let his kid grow up and to get out of their way. So many of the foils of him as a character are fathers, including the likes of the Florist, Date, Kurosawa in 5, Jin Goda in 2... Then it explores the father/son relationships of the like of Tanimura and his two fathers, or Akiyama, Saejima, and Arai as father-figures to Kido, etc. Pretty much the entirety of Kiryu's saga is about him learning how to be a father, since Kazama was such a terrible father to him and Nishiki. And he has to be three different types of father, first to Haruka, then to the kids at the orphanage, and then to Daigo.
