This dude is an interesting prospect. I can see him being a good project for McDaniels. He has great natural arm strength and stands tall in the pocket. Has a bit of a windup/funky release motion but that can be worked on, also has great strength in the pocket not going down easy. Seems to make quick and correct decisions which shows football IQ and is pretty athletic/mobile. Throwing motion and stature remind me a bit of Byron Leftwich and in the Run/pass option out of shotgun he looks like recent Pats project Jacoby Brissett. Overall I think it’s a win-win signing due to low risk high reward and NE needs all the QB competition it can get at the moment! Could see this kid as the #3.

This kid is raw as hell but has a butt load of athletic ability. Stid the kid will get the keys and he could be a great QB, but having J'mar as well could make for an entertaining book of plays to open up.
