Louisville & Indiana and Indiana Railroad March, 2024

We capture some short line footage in the Indianapolis area of the Louisville & Indiana and Indiana Railroad. On March 5th, we get the Louisville & Indiana switching at the INRD SA Terminal. It will then pull east on the INRD and then back up onto their home rails and head back south at CP Dale. A week later we catch the INRD SAHW head south out of their yards, then at E. Yes It over heated after that smoke scene. They had to stop and let it cool at Morgantown. Then got him taking off/

Do you know when the LIRC runs into Indy to interchange with INRD or if LIRC has a small yard or locomotive parking spot in Indy? I’m in town for a work conference for a couple of days & wanted to try to catch the LIRC, INRD, & ISRR.

Thanks. The semaphore is located a couple miles south out of the INRD yards on the I&L line.

​@@NELSONRRVIDSMy son is special needs and he really likes semaphore signals he says they are his favorite kind of railroad signal and would like for all to be preserved, restored, and used more often. He thinks that any manufacturer that makes railroad signals should build full size working replicas of semaphores with recycled ♻️ aluminum poles, carbon fiber flags or arms, LED red, yellow, and green lights, and ac electrical systems.
