Louisville vs. Clemson: The #5 Clemson Tigers took advantage of some last minute heroics to win an epic Atlantic Division showdown against the #3 Louisville Cardinals, 42-36. Deshaun Watson was clutch for the Tigers with 397 total yards and 5 passing touchdowns while the defense closed the game with a 4th down stop with less than one minute left to play. Louisville's Lamar Jackson had 457 total yards and 3 total touchdowns.

But Jackson had 457 total yards of offence (162 rushing), and Watson threw a huge interception late that really should have sealed the game, Watson might have thrown for more touchdowns but you make it seem like two more turnovers isn't a big deal that could have been the difference in the game...they'll meet up again in the ACC Championship though.

Where did the receiver see open field? clearly down the sidelines because in the middle of the field he saw three clemson players hauling ass towards him. there is no way he could of made three clemson defenders miss. Quick had a split second to make his decision and most players first instinct is to go for the side line. Sure Quick could of cut inside at the last second but you got to look at the angle the clemson defender took at him. the clemson defender basically said you better be able to out run me because im not letting back inside. The clemson player made a great play and a good effort to get him out of bounds.

We all, more than likely saw this year's National Champion "Clemson." Now they have an easy road to the playoffs. They'll be lethargic and pitiful in their next game much as they've been all year prior to last night's game. They'll still find a way to win because of all their athletes. The whole key to knocking Clemson off is finding a way to stay close with them in the first half as they easily run out of fire and gas in the second half. ND and Ohio State exposed this in their close losses to the Tigers. Had Lamar Jackson been tucking it on pass plays and running for green space in the first half, then Louisville might actually have won and done it convincingly. Clemson was pinning their ears back and selling out and there were openings for Jackson. QB runs are key to neutralizing defensive speed. This would have gotten that Clemson D line rocking on their heels and this opens up offense not to mention "keeping Clemson's offense on bench." Louisville didn't discover this until it was too late.

Bucks and Bama would most likely be matched up in first game thereby eliminating one of them. SEC always plays B10 in first round. Bama not looking too good on offense. QB is young and makes mistakes. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone get them in SEC west. Buckeyes look good but have very tough matchups with Hoosiers and Badgers. Plus they got Michigan at end of year. Clemson doesn't play anybody rest of year. They'll probably even rest guys this weekend.

The best thing Clemson did in the first half is get Louisville out of their head. Yeah the refs was botching calls , yeah the Tiger defense was intense , but it got out of hand for Louisville in the first half because of their frustrations. They calmed down came out in second half and executed. You see that result. This game was awesome on both sides of the ball for both teams. I do believe , however , that Clemson got a gift from a bad decision by a great player who chose to settle instead of fight for yards. that late in the game with that little time left , evem when you can get a first down , you go for the endzone. That was the difference and three years in a row heart breaking loss for the Cardinals to the Tigers in dramatic fashion. As far as Deshaun Watson , I dont care how many ints he threw , he played awsome in a major way , but Lamar was simply better. Both willed their team to the end , which concluded with a bad judgement call for Quick. Clemson showed their was a way to stop Lamar running, but Lamar proved that he could pass better than most people assumed which is why Clemson had to open up to his ability to run and he killed them with both deminsions. Great Game! Great Storys! Great Finish! this is a game where , believe it or not , it hurt the winner more than it did the loser.
