Loulou to the vet for rabies vaccination| Loulou & Coco's Diary.

The first diary. Every day this week we post a diary of some moments of the day. Loulou's rabies vaccination had expired. In the Netherlands this vaccination is not necessary, but we are going to the South of France in July and it is mandatory there. The vaccination is valid for 3 years. Coco thought Loulou had her teeth done at the vet again, she was so worried. Usually Fred goes to the supermarket several times a week. No joke but he loves that. He likes to walk comfortably in a supermarket and he takes all the paths even if he doesn't need anything there. When I go to the supermarket I pretend it's a race and I'm as fast as I can. Our Blossom is due for her booster shots and license renewal. Rabies is required in the US too. She usually sleeps all day after.

Good evening, Eveline! These two sweeties never cease to amaze me! Coco was clearly the star in the first half along with Fred and Claire! Coco is an amazing wiggler! Does she ever have to wear a hygiene shirt? Loulou looked elegant with her hygiene shirt! The buttons and logo on the back were cute! I don’t blame Loulou for running away at the end! She knew she did wrong by stealing a large chunk of Coco’s food after Coco gave her such a snuggly greeting! I bet Coco smelled the vaccine and all the other animals’ scents. You could tell it was overwhelming for Coco. I hope you pored some “special” syrup into your late night hot toddy! Fred needs one after walking them at night in the cold rain! Have a good week!

We have been getting so much rain and hail too. in some areas they are getting snow, but we are on the cental Oregon coast so not us. thank goodness. its been a strange winter this year.

I make a simple dish of onions and sliced red and green bell peppers, first I sautee a turkey kilbasa sliced into mediallions with touch of cayenne pepper, remove from the pan to add the veggies next, add everything back together and serve over a little rice or noodles. we love this dish. sometimes i add mushrooms too.

Many years ago I used Vaseline on my body until I learned that it is not natural as it is made from petroleum byproducts. Now I use natural beeswax of shea butter based lipbalms. I find shea butter works the best in winter. The skin absorbs everything we put on it.

@@wolflinggon5664 Some people are allergic to coconut oil. But luckily there are products without it. What I like about the shea, beeswax or cooca butter products is that they work and I don't have to keep re-applying all day.

I usually use coconut wax or oil. My skin is extremely dehydrated and dry. A bad combination. A dermatologist recommended retinol - moisturizer with hylaryonic acid - over that Vaseline for the night. I haven't noticed a difference yet, but I'll try it for a while longer.

@@Loulou_Friends It is good that you use the coconut oil for your entire body. Despite popular belief, hyaluronic acid drys the skin and retinol irritates the skin barrier and can cause inflammation. Focus on eat healthy fat rich foods like avocado, eggs, salmon, nuts, seeds, olive oil and take omega rich oils daily. Over time your skin will improve.

Lou Lou needs a holiday! She is in heat and wearing that oversized shirt (retro 80’s look!), had to get her rabies shot, and is in need of a spa date! She accepts it all in stride, and that is because she is so loved and well looked after by her human family! Our news is baby Smooth Standard Dachshund “Hildy” is coming home in 2 weeks and will be an avid fan of LL and CC! I honestly don't know if it's healthy. I had seen a documentary about cow's milk and what exactly is in it (pus, antibiotics etc) that I started trying oat milk and the taste is good. I don't drink coffee or alcohol so there aren't many variations. xx

@@Loulou_Friends I like trying foods from different places as well. I remember being in Amsterdam and wanting to try Dutch food but none of it was really exotic for an American. It seems like another meat and potatoes type of country, similar to the US. Also cheese and beer too of course but I don’t drink anymore. I have some videos posted of my chiweenie (dachshund and chihuahua mix) if you want to check them out. I’ve been watching your videos for at least a couple years now so it would mean a lot. My videos aren’t as exciting as yours though. Mostly just us walking or hanging out.

Aw thank you. That's something we really try to do. That they know at an early age how many things work like an oven, dishwasher, etc etc. Sometimes they are allowed to cook for us. Now they still like it haha. Romy and Claire are a bit shy and because they can do a lot themselves it makes them a bit more confident about themselves. xx

So cool watching the ducks fly in for the night! It never occured to me they come and go as desired. I wonder if they mate with wild ones. The breed found in the wild there? Side note i love that its safe for kids to ride to school as it should be. I live in the forest and country where in highschool i rode to school once for 5 miles on a skateboard and the vibrations made my legs numb 😃 Hands down my favorite youtube channel.

Yes, especially now in the breeding season many mallards come to our garden to eat and rest. No, they don't mate. Each species stays together. Yes I'm glad this is possible, Romy & Claire spend a lot of time outside with their friends. xx
