A busy day, I just forgot to add the walks so the diary is not completely complete. There has been a lot of rain lately and my mom's garden is full of water. We pump it away because if it stays like that for too long, all the trees and plants will die. We pollard the pollard willow in our garden every 2 years and normally I do that in February so that the birds can still hide in it during the winter, but it grew very tall so I have already done it. Stewed pears with beef is an old Dutch recipe. As a child we used to eat it every Sunday and now it was years ago. Wonderful to taste again. Have a beautiful Sunday. xxx Eveline

Eveline, as a suggestion, eating foods that are high in iron will help your anemia. These include spinach, collard greens, etc. Also by taking an iron supplement every other day at 325 mg. and take a B12 before taking the iron sublingually, helps as well. You don't want to take an iron supplement every day as it can cause constipation. I learned this because I am a walking anemic. Your numbers should be anywhere between 12-16, I'm always under 12, on average 11.2 or a little lower. I hope this helps you. Hi, thank you so much. Loulou & Coco seemed extra happy this time but we weren't gone that long. They always go out for walks, but I forgot to add the walking videos to the diary. But when the weather is bad I don't always take them for very long walks because I don't like cold winds. They are never restless and they are always sleeping under a blanket. In any case, always 4 walks a day. Morning, afternoon, early evening and late evening ❤️😘.

Ya, I heard lots of rain in your region. Sorry about the flooding at your mum! How about at your place? Any damage? Glad you trimmed the tree down. You looked so cute, "the wood chucker" decked out in saw dust! Poor babies, Lou e Coco, not able to run down the road and get exercise. The sun will come out soon. Things my mum used to make as side dishes in the 60’s &70’s. Pear halves, drained, put one or two on each plate, fill with a teaspoon of mayo and top with shredded cheddar cheese ❤ another one is two cans of stewed tomatoes heated up in small saucepan, tear off chunks of stale bread into tomatoes while heating completely. You dish looked very good. Also I love potato salad but and I like dill pickles but maybe not served together.? 😅

Anyone who says animals don't have feelings/emotions is crazy, LOL. If you say that, you've never owned a mini Dachshund! They can be the most jealous creatures on the planet at times! But I like knowing that they appreciate us enough to be jealous of our attention! When our little mini red, Ginger, was alive, she had a bump on her head similar to LouLou's. We had it removed at her vet in case of cancer. It was so persistent, however, that after a short amount of time, the bump itself returned but the hair around it never grew back. She had a cute little bald spot until the passed. We still loved her and the added character it gave her little face, of course. Looks very green in Dutch Land (TM) compared to our little spot in Tennessee. We are terribly dry and dusty and in need of rain. The leaves are mostly down, and if someone dropped a match, the entire county would likely burn up. I can't believe we're into November already. Another revolution around the sun, nearly complete...and my gray hair and old bones can definitely feel it, LOL. Thanks for the share, Eveline!

The tree grew very tall and we had a few bad storms that caused the branches to reach the roof, so I cut it down a little earlier. I am now making Mimi's diary for this Wednesday and will show the rest of the garden. 😘

I understand what you're saying because I don't eat much meat. I started eating it more, but unfortunately my diet makes no sense. Even if I were to eat kilos of meat or other healthy foods. My periods cause me to lose a lot of iron. So much that I can't eat extra. That causes anemia.
