Staycation with 2 mini Dachshunds| Cutting down trees at my childhood home.

There were some tall trees that my mother wanted to cut down. The trees were too high and could fall over with a strong wind. We had already removed some trees a few weeks ago. She wanted to have this done by a professional company but Fred can do this himself. I kept the tree under tension with a rope, Fred sawed the tree a bit with a chainsaw and together we pulled the tree down. In between we had delicious meals, played games and Loulou & Coco had the time of their lives. xxx Eveline

Your mother has a beautiful house or at least the backyard is beautiful. I worry when I cut trees down the trees as my trees are tall too. I'm glad everyone is safe from falling trees now.

I love the take out, but on nice China and chopsticks. Trees not easy but have to be taken down with skill. Fred good at many things. My best to your Mum.

The Netherlands are built below Dara level and are surrounded by water-even if it firm’s fall as rain, T-shirt pumps are always pulling water from the ground ! They are one oof the wettest countries in the world! A drought in Holland is minor- I American West, a wildfire waiting to happen! There is no comparison between the two vastly different types of drought!

It's good to help out and it's fun sometimes to take on a project. Fred cuts down a tree for grandma; Loulou and Coco enjoy stripping the bark. The doggies have strong teeth! Everyone is happy. What a nice staycation!

Should get some rawhide strips, my dachshunds use to chew on the side of wooden furniture, gave them a rawhide strip when they were doing it, fixed the problem real quick, just look out they will try to swallow the remainder of the strip when they are done sometimes, they always seemed to get them down, but acted like they were choking.

When I was younger, the garden was absolutely beautiful. Flowers, trees and plants everywhere. We always had fruits and vegetables from our own garden. Now that my mother is older she has removed a lot because it is a lot of work. But still beautiful.

I never knew dogs like to eat wood. Chase sticks, but not eat it. Although I did have a dog who ate one of my Mother's rose plants. Thankfully it didn't get sick.

The trees are very tall and are not very stable because the ground there is very wet. The trees could fall on her own house or the neighbor's house. That gives her a lot of anxiety every time the wind blows.
