Michigan has the largest collection of freshwater sand dunes on the planet, according to Nate Fuller of the Sarett Nature Center. Fuller explains how Lake Michigan's dunes are formed, and why the Sleeping Bear Dunes look different than dunes on the southern end of the lake.
