Hey! Yes, sure - i was using the Archtype: Cory Wong Plugin for my latest covers. I mostly use the included effects, which are compressor, tube screamer, reverb, and delay. Thanks for the great feedback!

Sounds great, as usual! I always enjoy your covers! The only bad thing I noticed was that the original song was too loud by the end and it was difficult to hear the guitar. I noticed that in some of your covers (this one and Break My Heart, for example), you add and remove effects like delay and distortion while playing. Is this something you automated in your DAW? Or did you record separate tracks, then recorded yourself playing and finally synced everything?

Hey! Thanks for the feedback! You‘re right, it gets a bit buried. I actually record all my covers with a simple crunchy sound, that gives me enough dynamic feel to know what i‘m doing during the song. Afterwards i cut the guitar track into bits and create different tracks with the sounds i need. In rare cases i edit super rough mess ups. But most of the time i leave all little flaws in the tracks. There was one cover ( i don‘t remember which right now) where i recorded everything prior to filming and fake played what i was recording earlier for the video. It didn‘t feel so good, so i haven‘t done it since. Thanks for your interest and thanks for checking out the covers!

@@FabianHorn Makes sense to me! I've read that Reaper lets you automate changes in plugins so that they happen at a given time during the recording, and I assume Pro Tools also allows this, but perhaps your way is better. It allows you to modify the effects once the track has already been recorded, so you can hear how the final version is going to sound right away. Thanks for the reply!

@@metalpuro90 yes, it would be no problem to do it before recording, but a little time consuming to be honest. I actually think about implementing some automation for my stage setup with my own band, to not have to press buttons all the time.
