In narcissism when you start a relationship with a man or a woman and they start trashing there x partners, this is the sign for manipulation, trangulating you with their ex partner And making you THEIR flying monkey. @@jeffk464aka "mental admirers" This is because a lot of correctional officers CO take that position (same for jobs as cops, judges, prosecutors, mental health professionals, probation officers, attorneys, management, etc) positions of power over others,...because deep down on the inside they are cowardly clowns mired in fear constantly on the verge of crapping their underwear. Very low self esteem, low self worth, feeling inferior to others. Their inner self consciousness (record player in their mind in constant talking mean to them) is filled with Rejection, Guilt and Shame. As for the convict/con, con-man, grifter, sheister, smooth talkers, Do you see where i'm going here ? They know how to pick up on what I had mentioned above about these people who take positions of power. The con sees their weaknesses & plays them. So they know just what to say to groom and manipulate. First the con would start out acting very disinterested. Have the officovertly wanting to eat out of their hand. Then Working their way up to telling the correctional officer who they are manipulating Exactly what that person wants to hear. Remember, the con is a psychopath and or narcissist themselves. That's what landed them in the penitentiary. What parts they can't pick up on. As for the weak person, (who on the inside also has a falsely created self thinking falsely very highly of themself) the con does what is known as "identity projection" and by this the con thinks that everyone is just like them & thinks just like them. And here's where they get lucky and find the ones that are, really are like them. I could go on, lol😅

This WHOLE story is shockingly similar to my highschool love/ex wife, except we're not law enforcement and her male "friends" were not gangsters. My experience was more of a tame, middle class PG-13 version of this one. We were madly in love, my family loved her, owned a home, athletic, and socially the centre of attention. Then same thing, she started distancing herself from everyone, would make excuses to disappear all evening, dressed and acted differently, talking to new people outside of our social circle. Anyways she did end up leaving me after I busted her picking up her "boyfriend" for a weekend excursion that was supposed to be some kind of work conference. A HUGE piece of my heart, of ME died that day and it was a lonngggggg, painfully slow process. I've always had vivid dreams that often feels like I'm watching a movie of myself more than it does dreaming. I STILL have dreams about us fighting or her rejecting me and pushing me away almost a decade later. The scars never fade because they're always being picked at. It's heartbreaking. 😢💔

Had to delete my earlier comment because the psychologist's analysis made so much sense. Yes, broke/broken people seek the same, or find problems dealing with normal things. She couldn't/wouldn't take care of her son, possibly because she didn't want to become too emotionally attached. And in her love life, she had a good man but felt more compelled to skirt danger with someone she could never truly be with. How insane.

I wish i had inlaw like Johnny's parents. I am a family woman a wife Cook, clean work work and work all i do. I Wasn't good enough for his family all they do is hate on me with jealously because i went to school and get education to better myself ti provide their son and grand daughter a better life. I was nothing but good to them excepted them even i knew they hated me, because i love my husband. I had to cut them out of my life i couldn't do it anymore. This Angela girl makes me so mad. A lot of us women would love to have that kind of inlaw they seems like just good people. Glad she got 19 years behind bars she deserved all of it. What a dumb woman.

This was the perfect storm. The psychologist was spot on towards the end as far as Angela’s decision making was concerned. She chose the bad boy, a man who was only available to her behind a prison door meanwhile she had a genuine man (and his entire family) behind her 100%. To hear her coworkers and supervisor be so disappointed and truly upset about the path she took was sad. So happy to hear that Johnnie found the love he deserved all along.

The psychological aspect of this story has little to do with Angela's emotional unavailability and more to do with the craving she had for excitement, the sneaking around, the potential of getting caught, the secrets, the danger, the risk. He's barking orders at her, and she's more than willing to follow his commands. A sociopath knows how to entrap a co-dependent. Give them orders, lead them by the nose, and they will be a willing faithful follower.

I feel Johnny's pain. I too was betrayed by the woman i thought would never do that to me. Lucky for him there was no children involved and time, as it appears, has heald his wounds a bit. I married and had children with this woman. We had (so i thought) a beautiful family, a home and life was good (so i thought). But a lot of women today somehow just go sideways on themselves and destroy everything in their path, without hesitation or thought of the people they hurt in the process, only to find themselves eating their own shit sandwich. Some people truly don't want to be saved. This was sad to see. However, I'm glad God gave Johnny the woman and family he truly deserved. Stay up my brothers!
