Wonderful! I have type 3 myself along with another, common condition frequently attached to it. Had facial surgery due to the related deformity. I had a LOT of confidence issues growing up that still affect me to this day. I never had cosmetic, reconstructive surgery for the ear. Concerning relationships, as a teen I was sure no one would want me and so in turn it was very hard for me to seek them. Growing up before the internet and widespread use of the internet also reduced opportunities and introversion compounded it all. Fearing rejection. But, eventually I did find someone through online dating, got married, and had kids. We live with it. It doesn't define us, but it does shape us. And I do wonder that many may have a lot of difficulty finding someone. I think age and maturity is a big factor. A video such as yours isn't just good for young people with microtia to see, but also young people who aren't affected.

loved the video :) it’s rlly nice to see someone else with microtia being so confident and comfortable with their ear, it makes me feel better about mine. i’m pretty okay w it myself, but sometimes i wonder if that’s just bc i’m used to it and everyone else is disgusted by how it looks. but seeing someone with an ear like mine looking so pretty and just overall being such a sweet person helps me kinda realize that’s irrational, and it makes me feel a lot more like i’ll be able to find my person in life. also i love the intro on this channel!!! can’t wait for the next upload, and i hope life isn’t too stressful for u with your exams and all that :)

Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I try my best to be confident in who I am, and though there are hard days what’s important is to know your worth :) Sometimes it can be overwhelming, but when you take a step back you realize how something like an ear doesn’t even come close to defining you, you’re just as amazing and lovable, and if anything it makes you so much stronger. So I am sure you’ll find that person!❤️ Also, thank you for your concern, now that test week is coming to an end I have two more weeks of calm before I’m back at it again😅 but I think I overall survived and did ok! Lastly, thank you about the intro, I drew it and animated it myself!
