He joined in 1978, this song is from 1976. They were strictly an instrumental and jazz band for most of the 70s. They had to adapt and get a lead singer due to the storm of disco in the late 70s.

@@kool-808Cosmic energy would be the last one he “rapped” on for them, he appears on open sesame, a place in space, and the force, but it’s not his gruff rapping voice he had previously used, it’s more like an announcer/emcee
