Dedicated to celebrating cultural heritage and giving back to the community, Fête Chinoise’s annual Love at Mid-Autumn Charity Campaign has donated over a net of $150,000 to Canadian charities to date (Markham Stouffville Hospital, SickKids Foundation, and the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital).
The Charity Campaign is returning for the 4th year, and we invite you to be a part of it, to embrace our heritage, and to spread love in our community.
A love letter to Hong Kong's Neon Lights, this year's tin is a collector’s item brimming with nostalgia and cultural heritage! The 2024 collectors’ mooncake tin design is inspired by the vibrant night view of the streets of Hong Kong's cherished neon lights, emblematic of city life, which symbolise a period of societal progress and economic prosperity. Each light represents not only the shop or business but also the craftsmanship, calligraphy and expertise to bend light tubes into the myriad of configurations that made the streetscape so very special. This phenomenon of Hong Kong’s iconic neon lights is explored in our 2024 Design Annual.
While neon lights are gradually being supplanted by LED technology, the design of the 2024 mooncake tin celebrates the legacy of the heritage, resonating with diaspora communities worldwide. Every sign that is illustrated onto this tin montage was done by pen and ink, in multiple layers to capture the complex structure of a neon light's construction, allowing us to create the intricate embossing, texture and visual sparkle.
Our four signature heart-shaped mooncakes are beautifully presented in a collectible limited edition designer tin created by Palettera. Each set comes with a complimentary copy of the 2024 Fête Chinoise Design Annual! Additionally, you will find special gifts inside the tin from our sponsors.
