My dad lost both legs in WW2 at the age of 19. He hardly got anything from the government for his injuries. He was a hero and worked for the veterans at VA hospitals as a volunteer. He was a remarkable person and a great dad!

My daddy was a paratrooper for the 101st Airborne Division during Vietnam. He was disabled and I can say that the VA doctors have been incredibly kind to him over the decades. My birthday is in June and my son will graduate high school four days before; we have homeschooled him for the entire time. He is off to study physics and engineering and he is my biggest gift ever.

God bless you, Paula! There is still life to live...as long as we're here, there is still a purpose for us. I'll be 64 this year! Can hardly believe it. And I'm building a new home (I need an Eddie!!). I'll be near family in the country, on the farm land where my Daddy grew up. In the pecan orchard. What a blessing and privilege. Going to try and stay healthy, and continue in my part time retirement job of teaching 3 yr old children at a church preschool. I'm in Georgia, middle of the state! Life is good, and God is great. ❤

Happy birthday Paula! I never forget your birthday. So, I'm wishing you another wonderful year of fun, laughter, great health and happiness. My birthday is also in January, the 6th, I turned 43yo. Life has been extremely rough for me but I'm thankful to still be here. I have type 1 diabetes, since 7yo. I've went through alot with it. I am now blind in my left eye, so I'm unable to drive because my good eye isn't good enough to obtain and keep a license. I now have diabetic gastroperisis, which is a battle everyday, along with nerve damage. So, life has been a journey no doubt. I look forward to meeting you again sometime. All of my books and several other items have been signed by you, except your last book. You have been an inspiration and a great person to learn from. Besides my grandmother, you taught me how to cook. It uplifts me on a bad day seeing your videos and hearing your voice and laugh. So sending you much love in 2025. I’m a Jan. 1 baby. Growing up my family always went to my grandmas house for my birthday meal: fried chicken, black eyed peas, greens, cornbread, fried potatoes, and I can’t remember what else, but there was always a big spread!
