I grew up thinking that Charo was some kind of latina bombshell, that's it: I only learned in my 30s that she's a brilliant flamenco guitarist. I mean, world-class virtuosa.

What a silly thing to say! 😄We Spaniards aren't "Latinas" at all! Beautiful Incas, Aztecs, Mayans have a rich culture which is completely independent from Spain! We are White Europeans! No difference between a Spaniard or an English person, both Whites. Would you call Americans or English people "Indians" when they're clearly White? Same principle so why don't you make the same error here? Poorly educated? The Whites from Europe, English conquered both India AND USA where the same natives, from South of the border lived. No difference between Aztecs, Mayans and Navajo or Sioux: the same continent, same peoples. So why do you anglos insist on confusing us with South Americans? Spaniards have 0 Mayan and 0 Aztec in us, but the opposite isn't necessarily true. PS: Different continents, therefore different r 4 ces!!

In fact, most Italians are really Spaniards, since there was a huge migration from NE Spain to Italy. Many think they're "Italian" but they're 100/100 Spaniard DNA.

WHOA!!!! Cyd Charisse admiring Charo! Now that is AWESOME!!! Cyd Charisse, the greatest dancer to ever live. And she's all smiles, what a great scene. Also blown away by her singing: I expected brash loud singing and the annoying accent but it's only slight. So it's true that it was part of her act. (My mother had the same, haha!) But wow, she sang it real soft, I love what she did with the theme, truly beautiful singing. Thanks for sharing! And I never realized it, but Shakira stole her shtick.
