Tygar stands out for its bright simplicity. Anything that is not rindy, white grapefruit, fizzy ambroxan, white musk and a whiff of light woods, strays from what makes Tygar...Tygar. The Dua version is sharp and performs well but is missing a bit of the musk and light woods. black Panther by Alexandria is pretty close but a bit softer around the edges. The Arrakis is very, very close with a small hint of white floral, maybe jasmine. Super nice! Thanks for this video!

Alexandria Fragrances 'Black Panther' is a great dupe also. The opening isnt as effervescent but the performance and dry down is identical to Tygar

Black panther is fantastic, in the opening i miss ginger note which i do get in tygar but after 10 minutes they smell very very close

I do own Afnan's Turathi Blue is very close, especially in the drydown. It does lack a bit of that brightness and also projection but for $50 compared to almost $500, it's definitely worth the price. On another noted, Turathi Brown is a great cheaper alternative to YSL's Tuxedo.

I have The Key which I love !! Never knew it smelled like tygar until a few months ago, the key also gets compared to LV L’mmensite

As much as I love Tygar, when I got around to it, there were so many great alternatives. I do have the perfume parlor version which is pretty close, as well as Al Qiam Silver, which also comes very close, but I do find I need to bath in it to get the performance. Opted for Empyr as the summer gem in my collection instead. Thanks helping make this profile more accessible.

quick heads-up, Steve : when you get the Turathi - spray it a few times and leave it about a month to sit... it can give up and unpleasant vibe on first spray... and also by Afnan, there is Rue Broca Theoreme Homme.. that one is fresher than the Turathi

Burlington 1819 based on notes seems complex but to my nose its grapefruit and cuminy musk; and i love it!!!

idk what tygar smells like but i have turathi blue and my "fresh" blue fragrances were ck one, coolwater and nautica voyage (yes you can laugh) also tried others like DG light blue and bunch of mont blancs also bleu de chanel which i thought it was mid atm when i smelled it and this one smells the most unique and by far my favorite blue fragrance as of now.

I personally think vibrato out performs Tygar. On clothes it lasts forever. I even smell it after I was them.
