Lots of clarity for DL. I really like how he separates out the paths to follow religion, as a way to develop faith and more single-minded idea of God, but with the purpose of improving the will to love, to forgive, to be tolerant, and then science, as an alternative path of 'analytical meditation'. I liked how he saw selfishness as being something inescapable, but that 'wise' selfishness allows one to know the importance of over-coming self-loathing, disappointment, and then seeing the selfishness that feeds anger and hatred towards others. By seeing these emotions, it is possible to know what can go with what - a relativism that nevertheless has a value basis.

My goodness she certainly can run on with words in terms of getting to the point in her question. Her question went on for 9 minutes before she gave the Dalai Lama a chance to respond. Succinct would be so much better.
