Not only is Saint-Cirq-Lapopie one of the prettiest villages in France, but it is also well known for having been the favourite holiday destination of André Breton, a French surrealist writer, and poet. Lucky for you, Cyrille is taking you on a tour to discover this beautiful French village.
* A bit more about Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
The village of St-Cirq-Lapopie will transport you, as soon as you arrive, into medieval times, with its alleys drawn at random from its history and its houses dating from the 12th to the 15th century. You will be able to discover 13 historical monuments, each one more beautiful and interesting than the other, while enjoying the exceptional view over the Lot valley.
St-Cirq-Lapopie is also a popular village for artists, and has been for more than 20,000 years, when artists came to draw on the walls of the Pech Merle Cave, a few kilometres away. Today, a dozen more contemporary ones have chosen to live year-round in this beautiful village.
