In this video I list some of my favorite things about owning a 2015 Scion tC but also some of my least favorite things about it.
The 2015 Scion tC is an affordable and reliable 2 door hatchback coupe and as an owner I couldn't have asked for anything else out of my tC. This car is a blast to drive, super enjoyable daily driver and extremely practical especially for some of you who may be on the taller and bigger side like myself but who's also looking for a small sporty car.

The Scion Tc will always be underappreciated. The affordable price range, the sporty interior, the great performance, all targeted towards a younger market. It was powerful for it's size, has a roomy hatchback area and back seats, improved handling and suspension, has auto-manual feature, available in manual too, efficient gas saver. I personally think the only bad thing about this car was if you were unlucky enough to get one that burned up too much engine oil.

The Scion tC’s especially 2014-2016 models, auto or manual, are fantastic, it truly is a slept on car and I kinda like that it’s slept on. The 2AR-FE engine is full of character and power(obviously not a performance) but it has a special spirit. It’s almost like Scion was brining back a modernized 1972 Corolla coupe. It was about style and sporty spirit. Slap on some BC coilovers, some new wheels, a lip, side skirts, a tsudo exhaust, tint the windows, slap on a duckbill or low profile spoiler, and those sweet carbon fiber b-pillar appliqués, your tC will be looking clean. Whenever I attend car meets I’m always receiving compliments for my tC🤙🏼 I still baby the hell out of my 2015 tC lol

I love the interior layout. The fact the center radio portion is angled towards the driver and the flat bottom steering wheel are great. I will agree with you on the interior materials tho, they are pretty bad. BUT I'm not super beat up about it, and the things you actually touch are nice like the steering wheel and shifter, with that said tho the fact the arm rest for your right arm is hard ass plastic is so dumb but i got a little cushion for it so problem solved lol. Otherwise i absolutely love my tC, I have aerodiscs and spaced wheels and I love the rally look for mine.

A lot of idiots buy 2 door coupes and expect it to have a Sedan trunk space and Back seat room. If you care so much about space, you should be driving a 4 door family car, or a soccer mom's crossover. The Scion TC was made for Students and single individuals with no kids. It's a sporty coupe that converts into a Hatchback like car, with a liftback Rear hatch. It's the smaller sibling of the FR-S, even though it was made in production before the FR-S. These cars are not made to be roomy inside with an oversized Trunk cubic feet space. You're also complaining about how it doesn't have a bunch of useless sensors and technology. Again if that's what you're into, you should be driving a car that's made modern with all the technology junk you can ever want. I drove my 2016 TC for a full year, the first year of ownership with no mechanical problems. not one single repair. Just my regular oil changes every 3,000kms. I like cars with Power Door locks, Power windows, a power Sunroof, and a basic radio that had Bluetooth and a Manual Transmission stick shift. I'm not into all that wireless charging, and Blindspot monitor and parking sensor junk. I also don't need a back up camera, it's pointless. My 2016 Scion TC is one of the most reliable cars I own and driven. A whole year without having to do one single repair is incredible.

They're good little cars! I've got a '14 10 series with the 6-speed manual and it's treating me great. I'm having some suspension difficulties but that's nothing with the car. Previous owner didn't seem to take very good care of it and probably beat it up, plus the dealer I bought it from didn't fix the issue, they just put a bandaid on it (it's a whole thing, lol) so now I'm dealing with it all. Excited to get it all sorted out though! Lucky for me, I get some new suspension components, brand new tires (I'm trying the Michelin CrossClimate 2's because I live in Iowa and last winter it handled like a hockey puck on ice), and some new brakes with carbon-ceramic pads and drilled/slotted rotors! Should be a fun little car that lasts me a long time when everything's said and done. Only have just over 105k miles on it, so it's just breaking in for a Toyota haha!

You start with a great, simple car and make it better with mods. Honestly, the simplicity was a selling point for me. I also just Bluetooth sirius from my phone so my tc pretty much has sirius radio. Mind you, I bought it when I was 34 years old 2 years ago.....always wanted one. I've only added simple mods (intake and exhuast...both trd). All the toyota dependability with a little more fun. Never had an issue except the stupid wheel liner lol. Also, not a CVT, which is a super bonus lol

Looking at getting a 2015 manual. Someone totaled my base model 2017 Corolla, and when deciding on a new car i had a few things in mind. I want manual, i want to stick to Toyota, and i wanted something a little more fun to drive but still good on gas. Seems to check all those boxes. The interior isn't great but im coming from a vehicle of similar build quality so it shouldn't be a big deal. Good video

Sorry about your corolla, and if you’re someone who a lot of luxury and speed isn’t a factor, you just want a fun daily definitely go for the tC, a manual will make it even more enjoyable as a daily, and if you need to make it handle better because you have access to backroads or a track just put TRD springs on it if you get a non release series version and that’s it, you have enough space to comfortably carry 4 people, a big hatchback to fits lot of stuff, and a great roadtrip car that never breaks down. Best of luck hopefully you find what you’re looking for.

I think you expect to much from a vehicle that was specifically targeted by Toyota to the youth market. If you wanted more features you should get a lexus 350. Its a sports car, not a luxury vehicle. I own a 2015 tC with a 6 speed manual. To me you won't get the true experience from this car unless with manual. All sports cars should have a manual and a sunroof
@JLESPOV
@JLESPOV 9 ай бұрын
I didn’t get this car as a “sports car” to be honest anyone that considers a scion tc as a sport car has very low standards, a tc is a great daily drive and am pretty sure I mentioned it but if I didn’t I’ll mention it now, is massively lacking features but for a car that offers so much reliability practicality and fun also including how cheap these are they’re an awesome bargain. You only get a tc as an only car or a daily, I seriously hope no one is buying a tC as a sport car because even in a manual it is the opposite of what a sports car is, is plenty sporty for a daily driver but no a sport car.

It’s all all to preference and i said it in the video and I’ll say it again, if you want the runner version of the tC get the manual, is 100x better for a driving experience, but it isn’t a good manual, fun yes but good not really, especially when you compare it with its competitors.
