I always love everyone's interpretation of Calypso reacting to Ody being married, but also, when he hears everyone's voices, THIS WAS GORGEOUS, I LOVED IT SO MUCH

This Calypso seems a lot more vulnerable, especially at the end. That she actually cares for Odysseus. Then the both of them sinking into the hourglass is great.

Agreed. She doesn't even realize how messed up and wrong her behavior is and at the end she doesn't know how to help Odysseus because she doesn't actually seem to get know him, just keeping him on her island so she's not alone, hoping eventually he'll love her back and he doesn't.

This is the first animatic I've seen where Odysseus faces Calypso when she tries to comfort him, which is really interesting. Also the first where he wakes up in a bed, and she definitely seems more broken up about him having a wife than most portray, rather than brushing it off. Certainly a very sympathetic portrayal, not just of her but of their relationship.

This is so amazing! The way Athena walked down that isle, how the scene exploded in synce with Athena's weapon touching the ground, how Calypso's vines moved, and the scene at the cliff with all the gold color is breathtaking!

This is my favorite version of the "Epic Medley Recap" part due to how the golden energy strands forming animated images as Athena goes through Odysseus journey. It really makes the flashbacks come alive in a way that other animatics haven't been able to match without taking over the screen.

I’ve always imagined Odysseus to be blue (because mother hen -ehem- Athena feels like a blue character), but him being yellow hits in a very interesting way. I love it, just like I love your animatic! Ps. Him drowning in a sand clock (symbolizing not only being stuck in time both figuratively -in his past actions- and literally -being in the island for seven years) is just so, so clever. I applaud you, truly. I will now take this as the canon version

I’m just gonna say it out loud, but this is the closest thing that we’ve got to how I imagined this song. For example, during the part with thunder bringer, I imagined that Athena would see Zeus as well, not just the conversation. And calypso she’s portrayed exactly how I wanted her to be in this song and the only thing that I imagine that it would be more tropical island type of building, but that’s minor details. Overall, this is the animatic that I feel that it’s what I wanted from this song. Don’t get me wrong Vera better versions that are animated, but they are different. They are always different in their own way and they are good but this one is what I would’ve wanted if I were to animate this song. Great job!

I do love how you handled her revealing herself as a goddess. Some people have her restrain him but that doesn't seem to match with the 'fear not I bring no pain' lyric she says two seconds later. I feel like yes she shows him her power in that moment, but she doesn't do anything TO him right then.
