The thing is, there was potential for it to be so much more, they aligned not just in how they grew up but their values too and Brittany made the effort to push for things to develop physically but Kenneth....I don't even wanna begin. I've never seen such a pathetic show of pure gaslighting and manipulation to the degree it was shown by him on this show. Every single understandable point of conflict that Brittany brought up was reversed and flipped on her illogically, he made use of things she told him about herself like how she overanalyses things an boooooyyyy did he latch on to that shit like it was his last meal, incorrectly terming her behaviour "overanalysing" and constantly trying to make her feel like she was either wrong to feel how she felt or not "giving him enough grace" or that it was her fault she felt no "craving" even though she highlighted it was his lack of affection or attention that played a HUGE part in that from the moment they got back from the honeymoon. He was in every way wrong and tried to use religion like a mega church pastor to justify his bullshit behaviour.

Jimmy not being as codependent with Chelsea as his exes isn't a red flag to me. It's actually a good thing. That kind of obsession never ends well. This strikes me as a relationship where Chelsea is playing the role that he is used to playing and he's off put by it (because he is seeing himself reflected back to him). If Chelsea can tone it down some and have her own stuff going on, their relationship could actually work. No sane person wants to feel like they're the only thing you have going on in your life... All Chelsea has to do is switch it up on him a little bit and he'll be the one checking for her. She should get busy doing other things instead of focusing on him all day. Get a project... Get a hobby...

I see exactly what you’re saying. I think the show left some stuff out as they always do to sway our views. They kept pointing to the dang phone to build suspense and allude to cheating just to end up being nothing but someone seemingly addicted to their phone. On a side note, that’s such a turn off for me. But anyway, I believe Brit wasn’t feeling Kenneth and he noticed. He shut down instead of having a heart to heart talk. During the break up, he was trying to save face but he was hurt. I think they both played a part in the breakup even though the show will make sure to show us a “clear” vilain. Don’t get me wrong, Kenneth was certainly wrong in many aspects but I think we have watched enough of these shows to know they twist, manipulate and won’t show the entire truth.
