Thank you Andy for saying such nice things about Brian. when ever I see pic's or videos of you all playing together it brings tears to my eyes to think 3 of you are no longer with us. I loved Sweet and idolised Brian I just wish I had a time machine to take me back to the 1970s I would make it my mission to meet all of you in person.

This song is a real masterpiece in every way and hearing Andy walk us thru the work in process is just unbelievable. Brian was on his way down but gave us his last precious gift with his beautiful voice. The lyrics speak for themselves. This is the last song of them together, like Andy said...if only it could continue like that..... Sweet for me is the most underrated band ever, what an amazing legacy from a very very talented band.

"Nobody was really looking forward to the fact that we didn't know what state Brian would be in"... God, that's so sad. Yes, if only... I've only recently re-discovered Sweet. Already loved 'Ballroom Blitz', 'Fox on the run' and 'Love is like oxygen' (and all the other hits) as a kid, but it's only now, in these covid-times, that I realise what a great rockband they were. Better late than never, but still... Thank you, Andy. Rock on! RIP Brian, Mick and Steve.

Yes, Brian's voice sounds so clear, articulate and pure on the verses whilst Andy's vocals on the choruses are also very accomplished and great. The 'Level Headed' album is my favourite Sweet album . I only wish that Brian would have stayed with the band because they really were producing mature material by this stage .

I listen to THE SWEET since I was sitting (as a kid born in 1966) in front of the TV in the living room watching the german "DISCO" show in the early 70s. I even can´t remember this show without THE SWEET. The band of the 70s?......THE SWEET! What else! :-) When I watch the shows in youtube or listen to the records today I do this with a little melancholy. Brian was an extraordinary excelent vocalist and "Love Is Like Oxygen" shows this directly without any doubt. But what I wonder about since many years I do listening to this song is: what kind of guitar amp was Andy playing. The guitar sounds very aggressive. ...... a Fender amp? :-) I like it how you are into THE SWEET still today, Andy!

Hi Andy I meet you in Canberra Australia when Suzi Q introduced us. I love how you kept the sweet thing alive on the internet. I think love is like oxygen is a signature song of what could of been more of if Brian didn’t do what he did. Cheers see you again one day. Scott 😀

I was the biggest Sweet fan in the U..S. Why I didn’t start a U.S. fan club is one of my biggest mistakes in life. I hung with the guys on their first tour with Eric Carmen headlining. Dave Wyndorf was with me in Buffalo and Philly. Saw the Off The Record your in Philly at the Spectrum with Foghat. After one performance in Conn. I hung with the guys all night. Brian’s over drinking was evident and the last time I said goodbye to him, he was in another world. One of the roadies let us in to Brian’s room and we sad our goodbye’s and thanked him and the guys for letting me drink on their tab all night. Saw them as. trio with Journey and my wife got all my Cut above The Rest album signed. Also saw them two more times with the new vocalist and once with just Andy in N.Y.C. Fantastic live group that should have been huge.

Yes Brian did sing it better than you Andy, and he obviously knew how important this song was so did his best. Thank you & if you have any more good stuff like this get it out now in your anniversary year, don't wait til we're all pushing up the daisies lol!! Also the interview you did for Sounds of the 70s has been blocked on copyright grounds by Aviator Management, why? Don't they want people to hear it & why isn't it on Officially?? "Sorry about that" just doesn't compensate for the disappointment i feel every time a fan's clip is taken off & doesn't reappear officially. Please put it back on quick!!

Hey, Andy. I don't know if you read these comments, but I really like the music you did with the band. And it saddens me that Spotify doesn't have many of your albums, most of it is Best Of and so on... But there are many songs and albums that I'd love to hear there

Nice to hear Andy telling us he wished Brian could have stayed like the way he was on this track. I guess the poor guy just could not hack the hard living lifestyle of being out on the road all time anymore, and it was the alcohol that kept him going, but ultimately led to his demise. r.i.p Brian and also Mick Tucker who died of leukaemia.

So wrong... Andy was the mastermind behind the band. Think Paul McCartney in the Beatles. Yes, every member was incredibly gifted (instrument + voice), but for the audience, Brian was the main man. He stood as the main character, the image (exposure) of the band, and had his stunning voice. Andy had (has) a terrific voice two, but he also knew when Brian's voice would suit best, and how to use its magnificence to get the best songs... About the tragic end: I can't help thinking he made the right decision, even if they lost their main man: When alcohol wrecks somebody's life, when somebody looses control, he can bring everybody down to the ground with him. Humanly speaking it might have been such a sad and tough decision... but do you see other solutions?... At least we had 3 more pretty good albums after Brian left... better than nothing at all.

Twentiethcenturybaby K Dave Wyndorf and I used to call up WABC in New York trying to get Ballroom Blitz played. The song was # 5 on Billboards record chart and they would say “We are not programming that song” but....... when Fox On The Run came on the charts @ 47 the first week out they had no choice but to play it. My bedroom was plastered with sweet posters and pictures. I went crazy over this band!

I also hung with them in Buffalo, Philly, ( with Dave) and in Conn. in ‘78. Met Andy Cain, and Brians’ aunties. Also drank politely on the Sweet’s bar tab. GREAT MEMORIES!
