Shaoshang did not even have teary eyes as she talked.
Zisheng only responded with teary eyes: I will always respect your decision.
He has spent 20 years living with full of hatred, and he is going to spend the rest of his life with regrets. If he was given another chance, he would do whatever it take to prove his sincerity. But he know he does not have a right to do it anymore.

Yeah but the stubborn Shaosang was so arrogant for denying, rejecting his sincere apologies. He did not try to kill her or her family, he did not marry another girls, he just want her and her family to be safe from the penalty of killing Ling li. For three times already she rejected him, thus God had to slap her with the explosion moment. Tbh Buyi should disappear a bit longer first from the incident before meeting again, let her long for him and regret.

So handling such a person he did make a mistake.

@@christyt9564 everyone could make a mistake as long as still become human. The thing I emphasized was she was too arrogant as if she was the most almighty that never wrong and would never forgive. And did not appreciate other kindness to her. She only knew and set the mindset to her mind of being the most pitiful and suffered girl in the universe. Either gratefulness or revenge was like counting in business. Not sincere being thankful and easily threw away others sincere help and kindness, especially from Buyi. Buyi's help to save Shaosang's life was countless and not appreciated enough. She frequently said in words and gesture (especially when they were in bad moods) : why did you help me, I did not ask for your help. I do not need your help; even after frequent near death events. She was not being thankful enough as human until that explosion incident. If that character existed in real world then she would have needed the most painful experience to bring her back in the right path.

Tbh if you looked at Saoshang's face in that moment carefully, it was the look of aloof, arrogance, hate, anger, and disgust to Buyi (Lusi potrayed this expression excellently). So uncomfortable. At a glance (without knowing the story of them), bystander would see Buyi as a male slave to her. Really pitiful.

At first i admired both Hou BuYi n SS's character but gradually fell more for SS. She dares to love n hate that's rare actually rare. When she loves someone she gives her everything to that person but when she feels she's being betrayed/abandoned she leaves the table if trust is no longer being served. Same happened with her mother n Hou BuYi. I wonder how can people say SS is being hard on Hou BuYi 🥲🥲she should have forgiven him so easily. Each to his/her own. I feel that Ling Buyi gave his all and truly loved her. He couldn't tell her everything because of the nature of dangerous court politics. That's just common sense. Plus, she had proven too many times to be impulsive and to be willing to thwart him to fulfill her own agendas in helping other people. Seems like she was going against him at times. Shao Shang, despite her claims, I don't think ever really loved him. She never trusted his sincerity or the idea that he would never harm her even though he saved her life over and over. I dunno what more proof she needed. Felt like she had far more faith in all the bad guys than she ever had in him, the person she supposedly loved with all her heart.

You are right about LBY truly wanting to protect CSS and her family. But that means he still ignored her dearest and only wish to be included in whatever decision/path that her partner chooses. He did what he wanted to do for her, and did not grant CSS's wish to be not left behind. She stressed so many times that she will not tolerate to be left behind by someone who claims to love her. That's the most important thing she desires and deserves. She was deeply hurt by childhood abandonments. He just never truly understood how serious of an issue it was for her. Oh!!! How much love, nostalgia and anguish there is in the look of Huo Bu Yi !!! He sees her after five whole years and his love for her, desire, repentance and pain, are etched on his face!!! Shocking reconciliation for a... shockingly and passionately in love and tortured Couple!!! Pride and absolute love literally...." they fight " in the face of Shao Sang !!! He sees the "string" with which he took out the arrow, worn on his arm as a "bracelet" of his eternal love for her, he sees his wounds and now knows that he has never forgotten her and will never forget her in the future !!! Unfortunately her own pride and her own pain for the lack of trust he showed her prevails and she ignores him, unintentionally, but she ignores him while maintaining her self-respect !!! @@nicie7211 Fact is,it was a clear cut misunderstanding between them that let them to break up(which was absolutely unnecessary) Regarding what you said let me explain in my words, in the drama it's shown severel times that LBY wanted to confess about his true identity to CSS but due to some unexpected disturbances/reasons at last he finally couldn't able to confess and denied this fact which let CSS misunderstood him and then the wrong timing(they both knew that their marriage is not gonna happen so it's better if LBY keeps his own reasons to himself without letting CSS know about his plan cause by that time LBY already made up his mind to take revenge on Gu city and Huo family massacre, ofcourse he just didn't want her and her family to suffer for him)Now you say is it his fault? She was kind enough to forgive and even appreciate her obnoxious grandmother who was the main cause for her flawed up thinking, screwed up upbringing and mistrust issues just because she helped her once with some coins to go and save her father. But she couldn't be a bigger person to empathize with the demons her most loved and beloved man was fighting with for the most part of his childhood and youth. She was also smart enough to know that he had no other options left but to do what he did just on the eve of their marriage all because he didn't want to implicate her and her so called family once they got married. Should he have been selfish , would she forgive him then or given him more shit. he very well knew he had no more chances left with her after that but still begged only for her forgiveness and remained true to her all times without imposing himself anywhere. He humbled and lowered himself everytime for her even though he was of a prince status most loved by his adopted parents - the royal couple, he became her protective shield from day one he fell deeply in love with her when he had just seen her hand giving him directions and never wavered even once after that. Maybe at 15years she was still too young , immature and was her actions was justified for being left out of his revenge plans but she had 5 years to grow up, understand how the world works and reflect back on how he stood by her and her family like a pillar, saved her life at the cost of putting himself in harm's way and even gave her a more beautiful extended relationship in the form of her in-laws - the empress who gave her the love and warmth of a mother, the emperor who was indulgent of her just because his favourite son even though adopted loved her like crazy and the third prince who was supportive and respectful of her like a brother-in-law should. They gave her respect and a better identity than what she was known for as an uneducated idiot out of the countryside with no graces. The empress even tried to explain to her about the need to forgive and accept and move on but she was wallowing in her own arrogant self pity all the time. He suffered a more gory,bloody and heart chilling childhood than her and even fought deadly wars filled with death and loss but Still he turned out good except for his need for revenge which was his achilles heal but ultimately he wasnt being selfish to keep his love to his side which would end up crucifying her and her family once the bloodbath of revenge was done with. He never treated her like a doormat nor was he a toxic male. She was always his number one priority. Her take on things was Justified at 15 but not at 20 years, if you loved the man with all your heart 5 years of separation would be more than enough to grieve, pity, analyse and grow up to an understanding mature wife who was ready to walk beside him till the end of their lives giving both of them a beautiful chance at a lifetime of happiness and a loving family. Seriously if he did die in the fire or fighting a war in those 5 years would she still be wallow being a bitter lady thinking all she did was the right thing. Kudos to both Lusi and Wu Lei for putting life into their roles and making it so real for us viewers. They deserve all the awards they get for this.
