My Mai is in this way different as it requires a focus on Guard cards instead of the "usual suspects" (Kanan-Setsu-smash). After my first shock, I started to love it. I mean, how many Advanced Songs are there, that cannot be Kanan-smashed? On first thought, I just could name Mijuku Dreamer.

Calling New Year Riko-chan "Smile Riko" might be missleading since Blossom Prelude Riko-chan is Smile Attribute as well. edit note: I replaced Princess Riko-chan, who is actually Natural Attribute, with Blossom Riko-chan.

MyNet just likes to pick good Scouting URs to design from scratch, but they really need to be mindful on designing Event UR cards from reference. It makes B&C New Year Emma and Tiger Unit Maru their decent attempts to create from reference over Setsuna who is referenced from Veggie Kotori a long time ago. I could've wish for a callback of Setsuna having a defensive power of an SR Card but we know how it goes downhill.

Initially, when studying the cards personally, I thought Honoka wasn't that good of a card, since her main skill is voltage gain & only targets Muse cards. But like you said, her passive skills are pretty solid for elegant teams. So she's a good option as an offensive support card. I also got her from a paid solo (and the SR Hanayo too somehow), so for the exchange event, it's a huge exchange token boost for me. :P The rest of the cards though...skip.

that Setsuna card sucks so much i almost didn't want to waste my candies to play this event.. but Hanamaru's My Mai Tonight outfit is in it, and it's the only reason i'm playing this event... i love that song so much and i want to have a complete set of outfits for that song~

Why wasting candys? First Maru is just 7k eventpoints (= 20 advanced songs with S-Rank) and both Ai as well as Setsuna you get for being one of the best 40,000 players (I don't think, that WW are even this many active right now). If you just want the cards for the outfits you don't have to do much at all.

@@ReisskIaue gotta rephrase my comment... when getting the Event URs i do usually have to use lots of candies, especially if i want to use the card immediately.. and mostly, if i don't like the UR in an event, i just skip, hence i don't have to waste candies. This is an excemption, bc i still played the event even tho i hate the UR, but you're right, i indeed didn't use candies to get a copy of Maru's SR

3,879 per note in Advanced. Hope you have multiple really good GD cards.

My Mai was a bad surprise in the first place. But if you have enough Active Guard cards (Fes 1 Riko-chan is a very decent choice, but any guard healer, even off-attribure will do) it is no problem. You also have to consider skill-activation-decreasing-until-strategy-switch trick notes, or your healers won't do much. So, forget the idea of a Kanan-smash.

It was pretty shocking at first but really not that hard to clear, just have one hyper healer on your main strategy, and if you have initial You, you gotts have her on ur back strategy

@@IiIygarden Some minutes ago I tried a deck consisting of both Festival Riko-chans und Fes 2 Yoshiko (main strategy on red) as well as a guard strategy Fes2 Kanan, Vampire Riko-chan and Magical Dia on green and Fes2 Eli-chi, Party Hanamaru and Party Eli-chi on blue for short strategy switches. It worked fine and I increased my score for about 4 Mio voltage.

Am I the only one who doesn't hate my mai tonight? Its one of the only (the only?) advanced songs where you can't just triple sp frontline for a high score

Yeah but you need a damage reducer and or healer to even survive for the entire song, sure you can put all SP Frontline but you have to swap to avoid the -50% technique notes and survive

I don't hate the Advanced version per say...but I do dislike how this is categorized as the same difficulty as songs like Kowareyasuki. Played the song again for Voltage Rankings after clearing it months ago and didn't even need more than 1 healer this time. Compared to My Mai Tonight I was literally dying even with 3 sources of external healing, it was absurd. Honestly in my opinion it should have been an Expert difficulty song.

I love it. 1st and most important, because it IS My Mai Tonight. 2nd, because it is not just another Kanan-smash song but an opportunity for Guard Healers to shine. They usually don't get that much credit.

This events UR's Costumes is like a total meh for me.. like I dont know.

Yeah they look a little boring. In the end I am happy, they did not choose Riko-chan for this event although I am craving for a new card of her.
