Really great! I first heard the song ages ago, not knowing the name or where it came from, then when I heard it again, I got to the anime, which is now also many years ago, and upon listening to it recently, I had the idea of looking up metal covers of it... The original song itself sort of always carried that sort of vibe to me; especially at the very end where they go a bit crazy on the drums, haha. Considering it's mainly kind of supposed to be a song about love and Christmas and whatnot, and those are generally rather more related to softer, more slower tunes. I always loved the sheer raw energy that song radiated... At the most famous part, after the whole "Todokete", when it comes to the "SNOW HALATION", one just wants to scream their soul out from the top of their lungs... Or maybe that's just me, haha. But yeah, anyway. Great cover! I loved it a lot. The fact that this video has so little views is downright criminal! I do know one or two people who will most certainly want to give this a listen as well, so there is that :D

I watched it, the original two seasons, mainly because of this song and I just generally like anime that has good music. The anime was honestly much better than I expected. It doesn't attempt anything super crazy or unheard of, but what it does, it just does really, really solid and well. They have many good songs (snow halation of course is the most well-known, but some others like "shocking party" just go REALLY hard and are awesome), the story is rather simple and straightforward, but it works very well, the characters are all likeable; everything just works. I attempted to watch the next in the series; sunshine, but I stopped because I found it just generally less interesting and appealing. The original though I can recommend to anyone who liked good music anime, and/or such wholesome, slice-of-life-ey anime (which isn't usually even always my first go, because many end up trying to be funny only to be annoying, but when it works well sometimes, it just works).

Yea totally! There's a live version as well with my whole band on our channel if prefer that one. I think I mixed it slightly better but there's a bit of crowd participation in there as well. Just search for Snow Halation MCM Comic Con. Lemme know how it goes! :D
