Michael Cretu certainly has music and voice talent. However his lyrical composition leaves much to be desired. Not only is English not his native language but it seems he is not well read at all as evidenced by the lyrics of his songs. The expression of sentiment is juvenile. The phrasing is awkward and the imagery is trite. "Be my queen and I'll be your King. Wouldn't that be exciting?" Oh, pleaaase. He would have done better in the the English speaking world had he hired half a decent lyricist.
