THIS IS A REUPLOAD OF THE REMAKE POSTED ON DECEMBER 24, 2022.
Today, I’m going where no Thomas Wooden Railway KZbinr has dared go before; a Love Me Tender remake. No, you can’t stop me now. I know many of you just flipped over your table like, “No, this is too deep. No one’s ever done a Wooden Railway remake of this episode. It can’t be done. It shouldn’t be done.” But I did it. And not only did I do it, but I did it big, with over 8 minutes of content. It’s the longest remake I’ve done in a while. So, allow me to accurately show you how to properly remake an episode of Tom the Train.
I don't remember if I ever made this public or not, but this video was originally scheduled to come out on Christmas Eve 2021. I was going to film the entirety of the video over my break. However, at the last minute, I got word that we were finishing off our basement and I had to take apart my studio. The only surviving footage from last year are the 2 shots of the twins' tenders at the beginning. I always felt like this episode was made specifically for me. When it first came out, it was honestly an eye opener. I was shocked that an episode from the CGI series could be this good. No Thomas episode has ever made me feel as emotional as this. It is definitely a top 3 CGI episode for me.
I wouldn’t say the fact that this remake was taken down was a blessing, but it allowed me to edit things such as the coloring of scenes I wasn’t happy with with the original version. So, thank you KZbin?
While I do enjoy this video, I don't think it turned out as good as it could've been. I wanted to do a big, celebratory video featuring my two favorite characters to end off the year, but little did I know what would come of that. This takes the crown as the most stressful video I've ever filmed. There were so many tracking shots and bits of human animation that I did not anticipate being this hard. It was also incredibly hard to pull the engines through the snow. Fake snow is now my arch nemesis. This was also the video I spent the most time on. Not counting the first 2 shots, I was filming for exactly 1 month straight. Luckily, I was able to finish filming in time and I think all that time spent filming and editing paid off. I really hope you guys enjoy the video as I put so much time, blood, sweat, tears and money into it. Hope you all have a great holiday season and I'll see you soon!
