Ken Roberts was the announcer of this soap opera throughout its entire run. He was also the announcer of "The Secret Storm", another great CBS sudser.

Interestingly enough, there is also an episode of "As The World Turns" posted on KZbin from this very day - 22 August 1960. I had just turned four years-old on the 18th. I know that my Grandmother watched "the soaps" and I am guessing she saw at least one of these episodes on this day (if not both). A sweet, classy, and pretty lady! P.S. Those poor bugs just didn't stand a chance against "Flit."

I used to hate the theme track from this show.Now I like it I really love the theme track used after"Love iof Life"went color.i In 1967.That theme track has a delightful similarity to the theme track from "The Secret Storm".

The actress is Nina Reader. She was in many episodes besides this one. She played Barbara for about three years.

Barbara was also played the late Lee Lawson, who played Bea Reardon on THE GUIDING LIGHT in the 1980s.
