No the movie isn't about gay love though it has it. It is actually about different types of love such as family and friends which can into something deeper. Hence the romance between Mew and Tong. So it doesn't matter if you're gay or not because it's a beautiful movie and shouldn't be rated as being gay just because of it.

But Mew and Tong are indeed gay cuz when Sunee ask Tong to choose what's best for him, Tong chose the male doll instead of the female. However, due to society pressure, family and friends obligation, Tong finally decided not to be with Mew as his bf. Very sad but very beautiful =)
