Through all it’s been through Philly is still one of the most underrated skate scenes! Skaters from here are built different and the style pours out of all of them! So glad to call this place home.

The best skaters in the world are at FDR. I lived there for a while and that city pushes you to be a better skater.

Ugh, those ledges were the epitome of buttery. Literally perfect. Me and my cousin + whoever was around back then would go skate LOVE, then city hall (or vice versa). I still remember landing a backside 180 down the city hall set when I was like 13-14, was the biggest set I had actually landed anything on but an ollie at that time lol. The good ole days for sure.

As a French skater, it's so frustrating to have never been able to skate that iconic park in Philly. Such a legendary spot! Physically, doing a flip trick on the way out is the hardest part. It requires leg strength, timing, and dexterity. It's tough-I’ve never managed to pull it off myself as an amateur skater

Street skaters, let's start a discussion on what size your setups are. What size wheels are you using? What size decks? Trucks? As I've gotten older I've done what most old heads do and started skating mostly transition with my big 8.5 in wide deck and 60 mm Bones SPF wheels. I want to get back into skating street again. I can front side and back side flip with my huge transition setup but I will admit it is really hard to flip that thing around as big as it is. Man do I miss love park. It was demolished during my time living in Philly and after that I stuck mostly to FDR. I think the last time I skated Love Park was with an 8" wide board and maybe 56mm wheels. I also miss the street formula wheels as it's almost impossible to powerslide/revert with the SPF formula wheels.

I've been riding an 8.5 deck and 54mm wheels for almost 2 decades. Was never a tech skater though
