Hi Phil, I really enjoy playing the bass, ( wife says no one would believe me as I never smile ) I played bass in a Blues band many years ago and always said I would go back to it as it is a satisfying instrument to play. Great cover ian it's nice to hear this again has a great bass line talking of bass line what's going on here did I see you playing bass lol no but seriously really enjoyed listening to this good old 50s loved the searchers ian still do well all the groups in the sixtys and up to the late seventys simple reason they where all musicians and could play back in them days easy simple stuff and sounded fantastic

Hi Steve, yes you are correct……… I did the bass on this one too, on my trusty Fender Squire Jazz master, I have played lead / rhythm and bass over the years in different groups, still enjoy picking the bass guitar up now and then and thought I would give it a run out on this one. Glad you liked it and thanks as always for your comments. Incidentally…..Spencer James ( out of the Searchers ) is still gigging at 80…… he was on at the last 60’s weekend at Southport and was absolutely brilliant.
