I add it to my liquid oils. A lot of people add it to their lye water. But I always forget to. So I started adding it to my oils lol 😆

Beautiful, as always. I’m new to soaping but I notice that activated charcoal seizes up like TD can (and usually does). I saw yours get thick how did you get it back behaving?

I would suggest soaping at a lower temperature if you can. I don’t think it’s necessarily the charcoal that is causing the seizing. I am guessing it might be the fragrance oil in combination with a higher soaping temperature. By the way this soap is lovely as always!

Oh I was wondering why the lye "water" was a darker colour! Thanks for letting us know about the aloe juice, I'm just beginning my soap making obsession and often wonder what additives I want to start incorporating & how & when to add them :)

Ok question for you, why do you like the "Heat Transfer Method" ? BTW love all your soaps and video's I normally watch them at night, so calming and peaceful just purchased one of these mold and mention you, I hope you get some kind of credit for it. Not just trying to figure out how to split and slice these bad boys LOL Haven't d0one the batch yet, thinking pouring is a bear

It saves time. Instead of me waiting hours for the lye water to cool. I can soap instantly. You will definitely need a log splitter! :)

I just saw this! Question ~ about replaced water with Aloe Juice... Could we use aloe from the plant? I have tons of fat aloes and I'd like to put that to use. I love this video! I was looking for inspirations! Thank you! 🥰

I think you would have to freeze it in cubes and slowly add the the lye to it until it’s all melted. Similar to the way you would do a milk replacement.

I just made my first charcoal soap and in the process of testing... Charcoal at 1% of oils...but still soaps black on the skins cracks and large pores. At what % charcoal is used?

I did not measure how much I used. My guess would be probably 1tbsp per pound of oils.
