I know the age gap is crazy and she was a minor but you can deny about their love. He really loved her and was responsible too. Fruits basket with all the seasons and this movie is literally the most precious perfect wholesome masterpiece I've ever seen in my life, there can't be another one like this ever, it has the most tragic beginnings with the saddest twists a rollercoaster of emotions involving love, family, hate, friendship, jealousy, obsession, self-hate, abuse, violence, self-harm, sacrifice, guilt, regrets, atonement, forgiveness and finally freedom and happiness, it would literally drive you to the point of wanting to get Isekaid to kill the most hated character but then you'd realise that villains are not born but made and it gives them their chance for happiness that they never experienced, or you'd wanna get Isekaid to hug all the hurt ones cause the pain is really unmeasurable, I relate most to Ren and Kyoko that it makes my heart ache and I could swear that every single one out there relates to at least one of the characters, I'm crying just by writing this comment, guys go watch it, it's more than any other anime worth your time😭😭😭

She eventually came around obviously but I couldn't be mad at her for this when you see what her backstory was with her parents I forgave her. Hear me out: I am 35 years old, I read this manga in in HS and early college. So obviously the manga’s I was reading had crazy age gaps. This generation calls him a “groomer”. But let’s be real, he saved her and helped her have a better life. Can we just admit this and enjoy the series?

I really hate when people just use the word "grooming" or "pedophile" so easily nowadays. Because those 2 words actually shouldn't define only by age but also about their mental, specially about their knowledge about sex education. Of course people who have sexual intention towards children before their puberty could be completely fit those category. But, for "children" which usually already categorized as adult in past age can't be instantly fit those words. I mean, if there's adult people, let say 25yo out there who have 0 knowledge about sex education (I knew it's hard to believe nowadays, but I'm sure there's 1 or 2 person out there) and someone teaching them by pratically and not informed it properly beforehand. What's the different that and grooming?

I honestly dont see why there's controversy around this anime. She was young yes and he is older but I think most people that are complaining are in their teens or something. Some people think 1-2 years age gap is a lot lol. It's weirder to me to think anything less than 10 is a big age gap. Physical age doesnt equal mental age. Plenty thats 30+ still acts, thinks like a child thats totally immature. I think he was a good guy, genuinely love and cared for her, he changed and improved her life. Also she's old enough to think for herself she's like almost adult. She was 16? 17?. People who don't continue high school is already out and working in society by that age.

I’d never thought this was “grooming.” What is happening in this prelude, looks like kyoko’s life style was completely messed up: her family and “friends” don’t give two sh*ts about her. So katsuya on the other hand, I don’t he was planning to seduced her at all, sure, kyoko was in a vulnerable situation but he didn’t took advantage of her. More likely saved from this hell hole.

Thinking what if my mother and father go back to far away places from me makes me feel teary. It hurts a lot to loose one who has given birth and another one who always love us and take care of us. It would break my heart if anyone of my parents or grandparents would leave me. Listening the background music make feels so emotionally hurted I can't even explain. In the case of kyoko San it hurts more because the person who got love only from his lover not even her parents want to see her. At last, everything for her was katsuya San only the father of tohru because he was the one who gives her courage. But, when he left her behind she was totally broken. At the time, she wished to die but she had to stay cuz she promised katsuya San that she will make their daughter courageous and good hearted and a kind person. That's why for their daughter sake she stayed. But, she couldn't leave without him and at last she died. This whole anime makes me cry to my nerves. I wished that me and you all live happily with the person who loves for you and takes cares for you. ❤❤❤😔😔😢😥. That's why everyone says it hurts so good when someone whom you loved leaves you behind❤❤😢

When a guy or woman takes a chance on an imperfect soul they can awake that shine that was once dull in a smile, awaken a heart to love and and a soul to rest, and see life through hardship and suffering, endurimg of another and embrace an unlikely relationship that might help them have a different outlook on the world and create a bond through gods will that life more tolerable, more bareble. When someone falls in love with a broken soul they set it aflame and restore its fragile heart to a diamond shining in what could be and a strong relationship that can see past imperfections and weaknesses and together become a tag team power couple that many thought not possible, someone diffrent or disabled or broken might be the right person if given a chance, one might learn and sse things differently through their eyes and what they have been through, can make the other strive to be a bettter person, try harder and make a difference. Thats what I felt and saw when watching this.

honestly my fave couple more than the main characters. a mature and inspiring love that is rare to find and when he dies, it feels like she loses the only right person (before her daughter) in her life and it was so devastating. that's why she loves her daughter so tenderly like she is her life because they are the only 2 person that made her life meaningful. also, i think the villains are their parents, almost every parents of the zodiacs. hate them to core.
