Wish more companies would sell rollers instead of RTR, I have a nice radio. And I wont ever use a stock charger. And the garbage batteries? No thank you. Did you calibrate the Tamiya ESC? If the endpoints (full forward, neutral, full reverse) weren't set correctly it explains the speed difference. I have been dissapointed with the speed of an RC car after upgrading the motor/esc. When I arrived home all dissapointed I forgot to calibrate the ESC. Did that and that made quite the difference. The Arrma ESC looks like a Hobbywing 1060 which calibrates itself. I have a Carson Launcher 19x2T in my DT-03 (and DT-02). The TBLE-2S that came with mine can handle it just fine and it makes it a lot faster (the motor gets hot, not the ESC). A budget upgrade. :)

Great vid as always. I really hope that more manufacturers start offering almost ready to run models. So many of us have more than one model, and have after market radios, it seems natural that assembled, no electronic options would be common place. Bind and fly aircraft are readily available, so why not bind and drive (or as shown here, install and drive)?

I brought the lunch box in kit form it had 20% of the parts missing I got it from a hobby store n when I took it by I was told that they'd sold me a doner kit that they took bits from if customers came back that had bits missing from the kits thay brought so thay gave me a replacement and returned half the money I paid n I paid £300 it still makes me mad thinking about it n that was10 years ago as I kept getting told it was the way I was building it n as it was my fault I wouldn't get my money back w took it back 4 times then one sale's assistant told me the reason why it had parts missing as it had a shop code written on the bottom of the box in pen that ment for parts only but at least he sorted it out for me

I thought the whole point of a tamiya was to build it 😂 . Show of hands who out there buys tamiya for their durability🤔😂

Yes… that’s pretty much the point, especially nowadays as there are some many RTR options that will blow these away

Tamiya need to move into modern times and supply real bearings with their kits instead of the nylon bearings. Even dirt cheap rc's come equipped with proper bearings.

~150$+50$ for radio and servo for a 17mph ( 18 on a good day ) that doesn't even come with bearings. Damn China has spoiled us really good , for 150$ you can get a 50mph+ car that comes with everything .
