Love the Family, Hate the Disease (Part 2)- [Cal Fleming]

We recently heard the mother's take on her daughter, Alycia's addiction and how her accidental overdose impacted her and the family's lives forever... Now, her father, Cal Fleming speaks up.
Trying to understand his daughter's actions of rebelliousness, Cal was beyond frustrated with Alycia, the middle child of three girls. He would come home and the house was filled with turmoil, usually circling around her whereabouts. When her bad attitude and negative actions started, he didn't think much of it other than "she was a teenage girl." He figured her drinking would phase out, but when her disease progressed, along with her drug use, it became increasingly intolerable and worrisome. He tried to do what he could for her, but ultimately Alycia had to make her own decisions in life as does everyone with or without this disease. Cal learned out to be more compassionate for people and his tattoo he got in honor of Alycia says it all... "Never Give Up..."!
